The had this part in the Leon 5F with the Excellence trim (the facelift) , and the Ibiza but not sure what trim, it was a gloss black part rather than the FR branded one, the downside to the gloss black is that you can see ALL the scratches which is probably why there aren't many on the used market.

I looked through all the steering wheel variants for Leon & Ateca, via official parts catalog ( there are so many :) )
Problem is that the catalog shows only one generic illustration of the steering wheel for all variants, without their individual details.
So I checked every one of those variants on Google to be able to see a photo, on mostly used parts websites.

There are some models with black trim & no logos, but they are not fully flat at the bottom.
They are flat at the inner side of the lowermost part, but round at the outer side of it, so they looked a bit strange to me.

There is only one part at the Ateca section for model year 2019 with black trim, no logo & fully flat bottom and its part number is 575419091KUUR

To see a photo of it, navigate to the link below...

...and scroll down to where you see the section in the photo below.

fyi: i found out there is the same/similar piece for Leons too. I saw a 2019 Cupra ST300 with the same trim piece :)

yes, without one. thought it was strange too. It has the copper Seat logo though.
I'll take another look at the Leon section of the parts catalog when I have time. It should be there if it was manufactured like that. Or maybe the owner had to replace the original one for some reason?

thanks...sorry for the inconvenience. if you could share the parts catalog, I'll take a look too.
It'd be really weird if it wouldn't be standard, because i just saw another cupra st300 r with the same trim piece on an alcantara wheel.

No problem. I can't share the catalog access though, sorry. I have a subscription to a third-party service, endorsed by VAG.

Hi everyone,

So sadly i didn't manage to get an official part.
Instead, i tried and made it myself. Here is how I did it:

This is the starting point, cleaned after the FR-Badge was removed. Itms just glued on, so it's quite easy to remove.

After that, I filled the FR-indent. I know this isn't the best filler job, but keep in mind I did this for the first time. I used a simple 1 component filler for this.

I went ahead and sanded it all flush. This is a picture of the part still mid sanding, but a lot more was needed to make it flush.

And then I used DupliColor Sprayplast in matte black. This is how it looks when no light shines on it.

This is how it looks when light shines on it. It almost has a metallic finish, which really makes it look unique.

And here is how it looks inside the steering wheel.

For a first timer, I'm pretty satisfied with what I did. It might not be the most professional of works, but the FR is now almost unnoticeable, which ultimately was my end goal.
