Ich habe in der Garage einen mit Baujahr 2018 ohne 5Q1 sondern mit 5Q0953549F.

Also eventuell falsche Theorie?
It's not theory. That screenshot with 5Q1 clocksprings is from ETKA and I am 100% sure that 2019 Leon MK3 have 5Q1 clockspring - confirmed that in my friend car. As I said, only cars manufactured AFTER 26.11.2018 has 5Q1 clockspring. If your car is from beginning of 2018 then you will have 5Q0.

Also please use English, this is English-language forum.

I would have to clarify the construction date of the MY19, but it also has a 5Q0 installed. ETKA has also experienced mistakes itself.

Those who got 5Q1 module, do You have wiring diagrams for Your VIN from ErWin system? as I can not find different schematics for MK3, or somebody provide VIN and I can look in erwin... MK4 already have different gateway itself.

As with every transition between old and new solutions in VAG there are not much details about it. The best you can do is to search "November 2018" in "S01HPA5F120-Basic_equipment__2-door_vehicle__From_November_2016-3.pdf" diagrams

You can also look for "T16n". This code is used only for the 16-pin 5Q1 connector on Leon MK3 diagrams

@Slavixs
You have a private message.

Shouldn't the BCM also be taken into account?

BCM with 5Q1

HW 5Q0937084CG
SW 5Q0937084DD / 0273

Yes, there is differences in drawings, but on fast look, it looks like it only CAN is not connected and thats it...

I will check this on my car later, when will have time and willing to do this! :)

p.s. thanks @cairus for VIN number, at the end it helped...

Images are nicely aligned, there are 4 less connectors between GW/BCM/clockspring in 5Q1 compared to 5Q0

Good morning.

My Mj17 also has a CQ HW, which can be flashed up to a maximum of SW0312.

If you're interested, I have the file.

So, I tried the 5Q1 module, repined connector, so airbag - ok, steering wheel buttons - ok, connection with gateway - ok, but no communication with BCM, or I can't tie somehow with it. Because of this, stalks are not work and errors in other modules.
I even updated BCM to SW312 (was SW273), but no success, Steering control module not appearing under subsystems...

Any ideas would be grateful for this test.

Checked BCM wiring, and it is same for other hardware numbers, even on Kodiaq (for kodi there is PQ37H BCM, for leon is MQBAB) but pinout and coding is same) On kodi I see in subsystems steering control module and also in adaptations there is 3 LIN adaptation sets for steering control module (stalks)...

Digged a little bit: 5Q0937084CQ is PQ37H BCM
5Q0937084CG also is PQ37H BCM

Its looks like it is difference in hardware...

I can say the following: there is the HW 5Q0937084CG as HW revision 34, which is installed in my car MJ17. My colleague with 5Q1 has the same HW 5Q0937084CG installed but as HW revision 38. That is a difference. I can also say that the parameters and data set are different. But I have to verify that first. So you probably won't have any success with your BCM.

I also have HW version 38, and Kodiaq I have also have HW 38, only difference I see for now is PQ37H BCM and MQBAB BCM...

good morning. then the bootloader might even be different. data set and parameter set are also definitely different. I will read it out as soon as I have the vehicle

Guys I solved mystery, everything works great!!! Later I will give more information. Probably even was not need to update SW... Was missing LIN line from BCM, repined it as per wiring diagrams (from Golf 8) and wuola, works like from factory!

So ok, here it is.
I got 5Q1 module from Golf 8 - 5Q1 953 549 F, with heated steering wheel option.
I repined it using Golf 8 diagrams as I got it from Golf 8, and You never know. Also as I had Skoda Kodiaq 5Q0 module installed before, I will not write from which pin to which I pinned wires as wiring already was not like from factory...

Repined connector now looking like this:
Pin 1 - Red/blue(Positive from fuse box for heated steering wheel)
Pin 4 - Brown (GND)
Pin 5 - Violet (LIN from BCM - T73C/54) [This I was missing, as did not have this wire at all]
Pin 6 - Red/White (Positive from fuse box)
Pin 8 - Brown (GND for heated steering wheel)
Pin 9 - Yellow (SIG- from AirBag module)
Pin 10 - RED (SIG+ from AirBag module)
Pin 11 - Black/white (SIG from engine control unit)
Pin 12 - Violet/Blue (LIN from Gateway)

blue/violet wire (this one was going from J587 - Selector lever to old 5Q0 steering control module) this need to wire to BCM T73c/24.

Leftover Can High, Can Low just take out or isolate.
And from beginning I did not have black/green, black and violet/red (this I was needed), so not sure to which diagrams to relay on.

Coding is done trough Adaptations in 09 module under "SMLS" adaptations.
Also in Adaptations > Lenkstockschalter > Verbauort Lenkstockschalter, change from CAN to LIN

And finally it works.

just out of curiosity, conversion done out of interest or is there really an advantage?
Just out of interest as @grabania provided data I did not know before, and that given me some inspiration to do this. :geek:
Also I already had 5Q1 module bought by mistake and leaning in garage now about for a year :ROFLMAO:

Putted everything here as did not seen any 5Q1 retrofits on older cars on internet.

By the way, 5Q1 modules with heated steering wheel are available in second hand market and for cheaper prices as 5Q0, also 5Q0 is a lot harder to find.

Hope this someday will help someone.

AND BIG THANKS for support and any information @cairus and @grabania, without You I would not had done it!!!!
