Awesome build!

The yellow shell looked beautiful but I have to say that black with those wheels is much better👌

I am interested in the TTRS hubs you put on, did you need anything else to go with them?

I am looking to do that mod to my FR but am struggling to find any specific info for MK2s, i can only seem to find stuff for MK1's.

Quick update for the underdog V2 I will write I a proper update end of feb after it’s back from R tech.
The car has a carbon bonnet and boot lid from another iconic mk2 on here.
I’ve stripped the back out and fitted 4 point harnesses but haven’t done much on it I’ve just been enjoying it to be honest.
The car is booked in for anti surge core and mapping end of Feb not planning on going over board with the car power wise. BUT some of you who know me better will know how bad I am at sticking to what my head says and follow my heart and go way over board on my cars…

Quick update the mk2 has had a anti surge core fitted runner flap deleted and vis balance shaft free wheel done also sump clean and pic up pipe change it’s just waiting to be mapped now with the anti surge core fitted should hopfully feel alot faster and boost harder lower in the rpm usual things 5 switchable maps mapped for track use with a road high torque map to keep it fun.
I’m hoping it will be ready next week.
After that I’m hoping it’ll motivate me to start the build and finally fit all the parts from the yellow one I haven’t yet like the wavtrac and coolerworx shifter etc

if anyone wants to follow the progress please feel free to follow me on my instagram which is original_sneakman.

I’m hoping it makes high torque and a wide band of usable power to use on track. Not sure on power it won’t be high figures due to having a 200cell sports cat but hoping between 330-360bhp but when it’s back I will be changing afew parts and having the map tweaked as I would love to hit the 400bhp mark on this without going hybrid turbo.

I like following builds and seeing the lows then when stuff just works and a car becomes your best buddy again. Good work

Little update the cars back from R-tech and is awesome it’s made 380bhp peak power with 407ft torque on high boost which is what I was hoping it would make keeping in mind it’s not a decat Niki mapped the car for track use and gave me different boost strategy’s for different conditions and tracks. We now have full torque flat foot shifting left foot braking enabled with rolling launch and progressive/linea boost build which is perfect for powering out of corners and actually usable power higher in the revs. The car drives like a new car it’s very different to the stock k04 as it doesn’t surge and has a lot of low down torque when needed. Hoping now I’ve got the motivation I can finally make time to fit the other parts from the yellow car onto this car like the wavtrac ans shifter to enjoy the car on track this year.

Little update not much is changed I’ve just been enjoying the car and driving it hasn’t missed a beat. The car just wants to be driven hard. I’ve said this for over 2 years tho but I really need to fit the parts over from the yellow car onto this one to make it even better like the wavtrac and revo mounts etc also my cooler worx shifter just me being lazy unfortunately. Sometime soon tho hopefully.

Small update again I’ve fitted my coolerworx shifter onto the car which I had fitted to my last car I hope I never have to do another of these things what a ball ache.

id love to leave it uncovered as it looks so good but the noise is unreal from the tunnel of the car under the shifter due to being the bottom of the car etc.

I then made a template to make a cover as I didn’t want to fit the leather gaitor back on this car as it looks abit naff.

After I made the template I used it to make the proper one out of a short of carbon fibre without a resin shiny finish.

after alot of hours I got it perfect and heat taped the underside that you can’t see to stop the transfer of heat from the exhaust below the shifter and fitted it in place.
I don’t like the look of it but I am planning adding 2K clear coat on it to make it look abit more shiny now I’ve cut it into the right shape etc.

Does the job it’s never gonna be a show car it’s a track toy,

Love this motor and all the hard work you have put into it. Have you considered getting it Hydro Dipped gives you lots of options on the look

Thanks for the kind words appreciate it. No I didn’t think about hydro dipping the piece I’ll probably just end up 2K clear coating it at some point so it looks shiny and less like dry carbon.

Following :) (mine is https://www.instagram.com/cuprarrrrr/) ... You mention a Cosworth, still got that too?
Thanks I’ve followed you back too. Yea I’m in the middle of recommissioning my sapphire cosworth that’s been in my garage over 5 years but it’s got out of hand to the plan as all my cars do 🤦🏽‍♂️ I ended up refurbing rezincing it replacing everything in the engine bay including gearbox vapour blasting everything and now just need to have it all built back up and then mot it.
