I had an advisory for one of my number plate lights too. Seems to be in fashion these days. They are LED bulbs I got from eBay though, so who knows. Some flicker like hell, others have been fine.

Starting to get the fear about my bonnet. Sometimes I look at what I've done so far and think I've got away with painting it with rattle cans, others I get a cold sweat and wonder what the hell I've done. Ordered some more 2K clear for it though, as the difference between that and 1K is unbelievable.

Looking around, the problem with my brakes might be the master cylinder. All the symptoms match up and none of the usual tricks work to get air out. I might ask the garage I used last week how much they'd charge to fit the spare I've got where I replaced the seals as I don't feel confident doing this myself.

Quick question - the main shaft is a little scratched from being in my parts box. Is this going to cause a leak?

Sat in it listening to music. I laid it up in November for some R&R but really missing the open roads, especially with the sun shining! Hope to restore it fully one day, just need to sell a book I've been writing & also get a big brother R to play with :) Can but hope hehe.

I 'think' you'll be ok with that. Im thinking the plunger seals that make the pressure to the brakes are further forward.
Maybe give it a clean up with some fine wet n dry before you take the car in.
Or drop into the garage that are doung the job and see what they say.

If it was a single light on the number plate it’s a fail did not even know that was on mot yet front has no lights odd , I’ve got the led internal bulbs but not tried on the plate that flicker might be the issue I had , I removed the housings and cleaned and sprayed contact cleaner on the plugs ect ages ago

Wheels!!!
So started looking for wheels a loooong time ago.
Wanted something light weight, less unsprung weight, and without a thousand spokes.
Lightweight means spending real money!!
Wanting 5 spokes was proving a real problem. Unless I wanted to spend over 2.5k.
Chose OZ in the end.
Talked it through with wheel peeps.
Ordered wheels and spacers
Had a stud conversion done to the hubs.
Wheels arrive open nuts don’t fit.
More sent out. They don’t fit.
Find out these wheels have Uber thin bolt hole slots!!
Spoke with all sorts of people including spoon Europe to find a nut that would fit.
Then back to wheel people who hunted down the company who supply OZ.
Nuts sorted
Go to fit.
Fronts only clear calipers by approx .2 or .3mm!!!!
More money spent and more spacers finally will have them all on tomorrow.
Spacers defo make a difference to handling characteristics. I was very surprised.
Nearly there. They do look good. Even if they do have too many blooming spokes.

Maybe he had to sell to finance the divorce after his wife found the build reciepts.

If there's one thing I've learnt over the years, it's to always be honest with the missus.

Most of my conversations are like this:

"So how much does that part cost?"

"££££££"

"And your car is worth?"

"££"

I mean, she's right, but...

Ive never shown reciepts.
As long as the bills are paid and my purchases make no difference to day to day life its all good.

Besides, shes got more pairs of shoes and handbags than Imelda Marcos.

If i spent 15k on an engine id expect her to leave..........

.... she'd have to as we'd be homeless 😄
