The wife just giggled and said I am such a petrol head...
Not many get to do detailing in the living room.

Nearly finished adding my blue accents to my engine bay.
Fast forward 6 hours- engine light on on dashboard, very little or no turbo boost, don't know what I've done, maybe something to do with the pipe I removed from the turbo. Anybody got any ideas please.
All ok now turned out to be the boost/MAP sensor popped out from the holder, phewww 🤦

Reminds me of when a youngster at my mum's, I fitted a new tyre to my motorbike wheel in my bedroom as too cold outside. My mum came in and went off her rocker when she saw all the dirt and grease on the carpet. It was ok though, as she had not noticed that I had put down a offcut of the carpet from my cupboard which was left over after fitting, and she then calmed down a bit.

Haven't done much on the car lately, except install my winter wheels.
And I spent some time reverse engineering some data from the controversial Soundaktor :D

Which gave me some colorful graphics as well, mapping sound levels, frequencies and such:

It's been a while.. but I've spenta lot of my free time to reverse engineer this firmware, and finally nailed it and broke the checsums that were preventing me from changing anything inside it. Now I'm running Audi TTRS firmware in my internal soundaktor, and even cooler: it also allows me to modify the External Soundaktor (aka exhaust speaker)

Here's a first tryout with custom sounds. Yes, I know it sounds terrible, but it was just a proof of concept.

And here's the sound of a BMW i8 speaker retrofitted to the car, running Skoda Kodiaq firmware. Warning: the video is pretty loud, because the speaker was in my passenger seat, next to my phone while recording the video.

What's next? Mounting the speaker somewhere underneath the car, and play around with the firmware to make a better sounding car!

Small update to the previous post... I flashed RS4 firmware on my Soundaktor, and now my car has changed into a V8 powerhouse :ROFLMAO:
I know the soundaktor is pretty controversial, but having this different sound gave me a completely different driving experience.

In case anyone wants to test it, you can flash the following firmware onto your soundaktor:

Did you had any chance to measure the increase in HP? 🤡

On a more serious note: since I love tinkering I'm going to try it out this weekend.

Side question, what is the best way to get in contact with you regarding the performance monitor? Somewhere here, the Spanish Seat forum, GitHub?

1000 HP increase guaranteed!

About Performance Monitor: I'm thinking of officially ending support on the app, it's too much work to deal with the sudden influx of users after it was added to AAAD, (and getting many messages in Italian, mostly from people who turn out to be BMW drivers that couldn't get it working without an OBD2 connector and then get angry and rude😅). The effort it takes interferes with my daytime job as well as my family life but mostly with my mood, especially because some users can be a pain in the ass 😅

Woop Woop, is it weekend already!? 🏎️💨

Regarding PM: understandable, family (should come) first! A hobby slightly out of control should not intervene with that.

Giving the interior a deep clean, decided to remove the seats as it is a lot easier and allows full cleaning of the carpet.
Just remove the 4 bolts and tilt the seat back and slide it forward when necessary, no need to unplug anything as the seat doesn't actually come out.

Ordered my res delete pipe for my Cupra ST, bought a pipe cutter too, easy enough job to do the res delete myself.

Gave them both a long overdue clean. Blue has been about a month, red close to 3.
Even after winter the Gyeon wax still beads like day one.
Topped them both up with Touch On and now looking pretty together again.

Today, as a recent owner of a Cupra 280, I finally got through the 452 pages that make up this thread.

There were splitters and soundproofing (that stick in my mind and have led me to other threads), there were res deletes (that I just dont want to risk in the event of drone), there were other pretty Alor blue models, lots of ST's so I could draw comparisons and ideas from. There was outstanding scenery from home and abroad. The only thing that was missing was any attitude.

I think the part that I was hoping to find out from early on was why DeletedMember was so kind and full of useful input in his posts but then for some reason had been removed. Did his personality change and he kick off with mods one day, had he had enough, or had some terrible thing happened to him? Glad there was an answer and there was nothing sinister in it.

10/10 - would read again.

Fitted my new stereo, sooo much nicer

Yorkshire vag solutions were where I purchased the unit and he's just helped me over WhatsApp for it this evening. Didn't need too many pointers, but cracking service from him

As an added extra, I can change the colour. I'm currently running red on all pages
