Formentor System Errors

Has anyone had any issues with their Formentor other than the infotainment screen issues?

Ive had my VZ2 just under 3 weeks now and twice I’ve started the car up and got the following errors on the Dashboard:

Rear Traffic Alert is currently unavailable

Manoeuvre Braking currently unavailable

The faults do not clear on stopping and restarting the car but if left for a period of an hour or so they do reset.

Im in discussion with my Dealer to get the car checked out and was wondering if I’m alone with this issue or is it a common fault.

Some errors like that happened to me two or three times but were temporary and it self-recovered. Maybe the next software releases solve those problems.

That’s what I’m expecting to happen but just in case the problems run a little deeper Ive involved the Dealer from the get go, with everything recorded via email.

Ive emailed videos of the errors as they popped up so it doesn’t get to the “we can’t get the car to replicate the fault, so come back next time it happens” fob off.

Hopefully it will be an easy fix.

@Maypack if you have access to a VCDS cable I can hand you the modules list, software versions and such just to compare with what you have on your car, maybe is just a question of some new firmware.

Ive only got OBDeleven so I should be able to check the module list and software with that.

@Maypack you have PM. Disregard the errors you may see, are caused by the initial wake-up of car. Are harmless but I want to be cleared by Dealer.

Do any Formentor owners have a Dashcam fitted that have Parking Mode active and are powered directly from the Car Battery only for Parking Mode via the OBD socket?

If like me you do then you may get the faults I have been getting. The Dashcam setup I use worked fine in my Leon Cupra 300 as the systems on that vehicle were not a massive drain on the Car Battery.

My Dealer has told me that due to the amount of gadgets on the Formentor, my Dashcam is draining the battery which is causing systems to show faults due to low battery power.

I have just purchased a dedicated Dashcam Battery which I will be installing once it arrives. This battery charges when the car is running and then is used for Oarking Mode, so no drain on the cars systems.

Hopefully this will sort out the issues I have (any inform others of the issue)and I’ll confirm later when the Battery is fitted.

So been down in Cornwall working for 2 days
Reverse camera failed to work twice black screen but parking sensors still worked
Main infotainment screen failed to wake up just black screen untill next restart any one else had these issues ?

got home and youngest son had done a ace drawing of our Formentor

Similar issues occurred with mine (rear assist, fog light, exit assist). Couple of times I have reset the infotainment and it s corrected it.
I noticed my car did an over the air update yesterday 23/03/21 and so far the car has behaved itself.

Ive just got the over the air update but not done it yet. Will do it in the morning.

That's awesome But if that's your car, you need to check the tyre pressures

Really not so sure. He notified me two times he had system updates to apply and accepted them and he indicated that would download them while the car was powered and not so much more.

Looked briefly at them and the two mentioned bug fixes and product improvements to something named like 'Background services' and such maybe that the last one was a fix from the previous fix?

Today I'll try to snap a picture from the system information page just to compare with what people have on their cars.

A week old and got a warning message this morning. Spoke to my local Cupra garage, one's a fault with the SOS system and second potentially more serious with the steering. Was advised not to drive the car... First available slot for service department... 6th April!!
