As you boys say all the time on on this beloved forum: change you door lock as soon as it starts fooling around. And so I did. Pretty easy job, just be patient and take your time. And yes, I've cleaned the water holes and redone the rubber seal. :)

I had only been alive a few years then and I already feel old lol

Shouldn't you be off discovering masturbation somewhere? Or playing Pokemon? Or at school? Or at least doing something somewhere else so I don't feel quite so old?

I did a couple of door catches on mine last year.
I used cheap Ebay ones so I'll be doing them again soon i guess. Which is a shame as my doors are watertight lol

Worth asking - when you undid the top nuts, is it the allen key you turn or the 21mm? I'm guessing either will do the job. I'm going out today to put some penetrant in there so it's less trouble getting it undone.

Top one I had to undo the nut. Bottom one both coming off and going back on I turned both in opposite directions at the same time. Tight twice as fast I did have to Jack it back up as my drivers side has wobbled when I was tightening it up. But jacked it up and it popped into the right place

I always wanted the top force evo buggy. But then I started racing them. Any one who raced 1/10 off road will know what one of these are View attachment 22075

Tenth technology predator mmmmmmm
I had a top force back in the early 90's, aswell as some others cars I raced.
Full carbon upgrades, metal shocks, carbon prop etc.
Won an indoor meeting near bracknell with it, great days!

It’s the 21 mm you undo try not to turn the Allen key one
