Snapped belt tension damper bracket, so that will be the alternator freewheel seized, again.
On the bright side, fleabay sourced tensioner in a Dayco box arrived containing a nice shiny new Litens tensioner (as used by SEAT) for £22 inc postage.
£20 for a nearly new bosch freewheeled alternator at the scrappy.
Best of all it was in one of those VW seat alhambra thingys, alternator on top of the engine.
No grovelling in wet oily mud & dogsh1t.
When will the Beast from the East 2 bugger off, so I can fit it?

Just sold the old saxo race car. And just been picked up. Bit of a sad moment as I have been racing the car for about 10 years. The car and all the spares now gone. But gives me loads more road in the workshop.
The car was a beast. Was able to chase and beat civic type R at times.
Was able to do 56.2 lap times at Brandshatch

Went for a drive with a buddy and got a bit excited. Went into a corner a bit fast and got brake oversteer good thing i know how to catch the back end lol
Then on the way home had a quick race a with an old Evo, got understeer then oversteer at like 50mph, caught the back end again but kept up with the evo
