8 inch screen swap compatibility?

Hi guys i am currently trying to retrofit my old mib1 for a mib2 with a new 8 inch screen. I found someone who can remove cp and code the rest for a good price.

I bought a MIB2 Std with navigation, part number 5QA035858B (SW 0472 & H41), i also bought the 8 inch screen, part number 5F0919606. I was wondering if the screen and unit are compatible with each other.

i read somewhere that you need at least SW 0351. There are some units around (for example H24) that are only able to run at SW 0253, that is why i am confused because i also bought another MIB2 unit that is H24 (HW) and SW 0241) before i bought the H41

That's correct, it does have to be at least SW 0351. Something to do with the resolution, I think.

So the unit that runs on SW 0472 should work just fine? I am not really familiar how the seat SW numbers are arranged so that's why I am asking .

When i receive all the parts that i ordered, i recon it will be the end of may when i can actually fit it in my car

The screen is pretty easy, little bit of cutting down to do. What size screen do you currently have? I went from 6.5 to 8 bit didn't have to change my MIB unit

i still have the old mib1 so this is going to be a big step up with android auto and such
