Does anyone know if theres a update for this unit that fixes the lockup/rebooting?

I've got the MIB 2 High in my mk3 - apparently it uses a hard drive for mapping rather than SD cards. I've tried downloading the update from the SEAT site on an SD card, and putting the SD card into the slot in the glove box, and while the system knows it's there when I insert the card, it just can't update for some reason. Very confusing.

Can't be done by the user unless you have Mapcare or have the unit 'modified' as I did.

You need to press the menu button and choose from the options that are shown, swipe the carousel display or rotate the right hand knob to make selections.

I think it was only available on late 2015 build as an option.

That’s correct. Available on the MY16 cars in 2015, on MIB2 and HI

Select the Navigation screen then Setup - scroll down to Version info this will give you some details, try to post a pic.
Press Menu, settings, scroll down to System Info, this will show device part number, Hardware and software versions. Try to post a pic.

Going by the age of your maps I would say that you don't have the option of Full Link available as it's a pre mid 2015 car. Also I think you have the MIB1 unit.
With those map dates your car was probably built late 2014.
