Fitted new R badges. Photo below shows (top) a fake ebay special, (middle) the genuine article, (bottom) 14 year of weathering!! I should have known better about the ebay ones, but thought I'd take a punt on them. They're OK, but not a substitute for the genuine ones.

Finally got round to repainting front badge and slats along with my wing mirrors which I’ve been desperate to do.

I look at these really nice examples of Leon's and do wonder some times how long it would stay nice round here? Sh!t you not... valve covers lasted a week I think before I noticed them gone....even removed the boost gauge because I can't be bothered to sort a new window out because some div takes a liking to it.

I would take a picture but it would be rude of me to do so but a guy across the road has a Mk5 Golf GTi and his front grill has been stolen, quite a big section removed like it was never there, zero damage to the car but the loss is enough to learn not to have nice things where I live, reason we think it was taken...had it wrapped in black a few days before it was taken.

! 6 1/2 years of (relatively) trouble free motoring! Haven’t been on the site much the last couple of years as lost interest and some tough times financially meant I didn’t have free money to throw at the car. Will miss the old girl but it was time to go. Replaced with another Leon though so not all lost. A very nice mk3 xcellence, a bit dull and old manish but meh it’s a nice car, loads of toys and it’s mainly for the Mrs till I can afford a new toy !
There’s probably not many of the old timers left on here from when I first got my Leon but thanks anyway to everyone for the help and banter over the years.
P.s. I’m guessing sales still aren’t allowed but LCR 225 wheel (with cupra rather than R badge ), red stitched gear stick and hand brake cover for sale. PM me with an offer, it’ll be going on eBay but thought I would give someone on here the chance first. Traded the old girl in so made sure I got all the good bits off first
