Requin said on the topic: SW update for MIB2 infotainment system?
This is what i have done ! Maybe upper or lower case change something no ? I mean enter for example 634f or 634F ?
I am using a MIB2 standard (Navi System - 6P0) and use VCDS 17.8
Walone answer:
Use uppercase only. When you put the new code into VCDS make sure you have a space between 63 and 4F (63 4F) if this is the calculated result.
If you are using genuine VCDS lead then you should update your VCDS program to 18.2 but if it's fake lead it will kill the lead if you try to update.
Can you post a scan of your 5F module to show the errors?

I will try to clear faults logs and hard reset unit first. Then i will enter the value on Uppercase and see if it is working or not (Yes i have a space between 63 and 4F).

I don't know French but it looks like it's saying the Navigation Database is not valid, which is nothing to do with having to use the Xor calculator.

Hi,

I have just updated the navigation version (430 to 915) through the website https://here.navigation.com/europe/fr by selecting SEAT Leon 2016 and download 915 version. But everything is working, navigation is working well, only i have an error on the 5F module (Navigation Database is not valid) due to the update. I try to delete it by the XOR method but still appears. By the way, everything is working, so i think, i will not investigate more time ... but see people succeeded to remove the smv fault, so i don't how it is not working for me.

I wouldn't worry if it's working. Assume you had Mapcare and didn't do a workaround. Probably your dealer will clear the error next time they service it. I reckon alot of people who have done the SD card work around don't have VCDS tools and drive around with that error.

Looking at your scan results above you don't have the SVM error!
This is what shows when you have SVM error.

I was thinking the method XOR was the same for the navigation and for the MIB update. I was wrong. Thanks for your comment.

OK I have read this interesting thread and noticed one post said if you get the correct serial number you can get an SD Card Map update off ebay that will work OK is this right or did I read something wrong ?

My Map box has 6P0.919.866.H and is Version 3 - I saw a Version 5 on ebay with the code 6P0.919.866.R - would that work ?

That's a Mib2 so if your card is already working and you haven't got Mapcare you can do the workaround as documented on the thread. If you read from June this year. Just remember to back it up before you delete the contents just in case.

Post 1041 is the most recent detailed description of it. The earlier developers one of it has some steps in it that turned out to be not required but was part of understanding the process.

Let someone else answer since I have the Navi Plus. Whenever people try cards they get adverse results. There are upgrade cards which allow you to upgrade then only cards which are only meant for dealer installation via ODIS. People are happy to sell you those as well. Mapcare which isn't currently available on Seat UK sourced cars allows you to upgrade yourself which is far more sensible with a token initial price, like £120 which is now waved by VW and Skoda, but here in the UK Seat haven't budged an inch even thou they are selling cars with digital dashes with maps out of date... or will be.

Its crap how they can get away with free updates in Europe but not here... Maybe need lots more pressure from us (customers)

If you already have a working SD nav card in your system then you do not need a card from eBay!
Just follow the procedure as mentioned by Tell. Just make sure you do a full backup of the original card!
Also I think you need to use a PC not a MAC.

Yeah I was just thinking if might be less risky and more straight forward than messing with the original card. I don't mind paying £30 just not £140 or whatever it was

Also just wondered when I looked at the box the card came in from the garage its 2009 - my car is 2016 - Is that normal or have I been duped somehow
