Anything i may need to know before doing the upgrade?

As long as you have the files and are computer savvy, a good quality class 10 SD card, each file is over 3gb when unzipped. Also would suggest having the battery on charge. I managed to clear the SVM error I had but it's quite complicated to do. I haven't used PM before but if you want more info PM me and I will try to help.

So where would I find the most recent SW for MIB2, STD, 6.5", HW: 30, SW: 0351? I only see links to 0330 and 0346.

The randomly occurring incorrect time (1 hour less or more, depending on the actual Daylight saving change) is driving me nuts. The new TILE panel would be fine (if ever released for this HW), but I can certainly do without.
If anyone has the files/procedures, please PM.

If you have any issues after updating MIB2 - H24, like the MirrorLink disappearing, the instructions say to use a tool like OBDEleven to get it back. Does anyone know if you need the 'Standard' OBDEleven or the 'Pro' version?

You will need the Pro version as this allows you to modify the parameters

Hi people, I'm new to seat world and am the proud owner of a 65reg leon FR 2.0tdi in lima green. she's nice and will be having full detail and ceramic coat in the next few weeks.
I believe I have MIB2 as navigation code puts it at 6PO and usb is in front of gear stick and not glove box.
couple of questions.
1 what do you guys need to be able to tell me if theres an update out, already downloading the latest maps.
2 is full link worth purchasing
3 can i replace the 6.5inch screen with the 8'' touchscreen

1 are you saying that you are downloading the latest maps? If you are, do NOT overwrite your current SD card without making a full back up of the contents and then follow the procedure documented in Navigation Map updates (I think that where it is).
2 full link is good if you want to use Waze or Google Maps.
3 yes I think you can fit 8" screen, I just did with mine but it's a MIB2 High system.

You have MIB2 Std (6P0) without SSD, you use an SD card for the navigation info the high version has the maps stored on the SSD.

I think to use the 8" screen the software would have to be updated and would give the new tile menus, I'm sure there is a post on this forum referencing the software updates available on a Spanish forum. And of course you can update the maps yourself.
I think leonlad and others on this forum would know more than me.

Is there a way to update my system? Someone said that is possible to upgrade from 425 to 480 but I have 421 version. So I need first update from 421 to 425 then to 480 or just from 421 to 480? Below my specs;

You're on a slightly older software version than me, but the same hardware version. You've got to do the upgrade to 0346 in two stages. The first from 0241 to 0330 and then 0330 to 0346. This will give you the tiles you want. I'm all ready to go with the update, but need to get an OBDeleven in case of issues with MirrorLink disappearing, etc.

I've created a Word doc with all the instructions, taken from the Spanish forum, to do the updates if you want it. It wouldn't let me upload it as a file.

Have you checked out the Spanish forum thread (link somewhere in this thread / forum) that has instructions on how to complete sw upgrade. I used it to upgrade my Mib2 unit and worked a charm. Had to remove error codes and amemd a couple of settings as per instructions.

yeah asked me to buy too.

There is a TPI for 0252 update which means there is a part number for the update these are listed as vw engineering tools. if i had elsa i could find it but will wait for dealer input on this.
apparently the 03xx firmware people are using is beta versions and full of bugs. 0252 was the final update for 5qa0358xx units. however it will not give you the tiled screen just the carousel.
i think if engineering mode can be enabled you can redo the update.
i still need to find out if i can apply this to a retrofitted mib2, as the parking sensors are a bit over cautious and this FW fixes that i read and brings rock solid stability to HW24
