Took it for MOT today...passed

Tire needs changing soon
and center exhaust bracket is fooooked for the third time.

Being stripped out was my main concern...was no issue as long as it has the belts removed.

ordered these today
https://www.dpmperformance.co.uk/ca...lover-suspension-kit-leon-1m-cupra-r-18t-0999

Gone for these due to 1) budget 2) lowering ability

Car booked in next thursday to get fitted then tracked/aligned etc to allow it to handle hopefully amazingly on track!

Anyone know if i'll need to;
A) space the front wheels
B) need different drop links

So I ended up having AP Coilovers which arrived today

Gonna get updated top mounts before I fit everything then get aligned for track use

I'm running ST Coilovers (non-stainless versions of KW Variant II's) and the only lowering issues I found was on the front, the inside of the wheel would rub on the height adjuster (of all things!) if I wanted to go any lower than I have set at (approx 40 mm drop, its a nice stance and set to equal height on each corner). I've also changed to an Eibach 2wd Audi TT front anti-roll bar and JOM drop links so should avoid the drive shaft rubbing. No need for spacers unless I want to go really low.

On the rear, my Milltek exhaust touches the rear tie / cross / sway bar (its proper name escapes me at the moment) that connects the rear suspension together when cold and I'm not fully lowered, so that's also a consideration.

Yeah loud! Ripped one of an Escort In Portugal about 20 years back as it was hanging off after a dirt road trip. Sounded like a NASCAR.

Not sure what it's like with a professional exgaust but this is like hell has opened up when the turbo kicks in...funny really because I can clearly hear the engine then spool then boost.
I like it...I like it a lot but daily??
Not sure what to do ATM but stock isn't an option and I'm sure I have hear a rattling sound from the bottom end not sure but I do think she's nearly done.

well my wallet is £569.14 lighter after having my cambelt done today, so that dreaded noise that you get when you have a cambelt changed has gone, now ive got to sort out :eek:il leaks from cam cover gasket, turbo oil return pipe and sump bung, get another upper timing belt cover as its broken, there is a slight coolant leak from the oil cooler pipes, engine oil breather hose has collapsed, then theres 2 faults 16622 and 16497 to sort.
