Another little job on my to-do list. I've seen a thread on here as well where the guy swapped some chrome ones over which made me think about the grey FR ones.

What's the current headlight switch status?
I picked up a mk5 Golf surround at the breakers on Saturday so I'm ready to start chopping...

All working except the dimming function
Ended up swapping wires over to try getting it working but no joy so just wired as first done.
The surround eventually came loose so got a cleaned the surrounding areas then used hot glue gun to stick it back on
I did consider taking it to auto electrician but I can live with it

Id massively appreciate any kind of wiring guidance please mate.

(Balls I've just realised I should of snipped the headlight plug off whilst I was there)

Decided to fit LED reverse bulbs, seen it done loads on here and think it freshens up the look a little

I was looking at an abundance of led bulbs a few days ago as it happens.
Are those reverse ones noticeably brighter or just better aesthetically?

Woah, didn’t realise how long it’s been since I’ve done an update
I’ve had to replace the passenger door module again but it’s not too bad a job when you know what’s involved.
Painted the rear calipers & dust shields with the POR15 Black.
Fitted a usb socket into centre console next to fuel filler button and hard wired it to fuse box.
Bought another aero wiper arm (Golf mk4) and cut it down by an inch, had it welded then sprayed it Matt black - now I don’t have to cut the wiper blade down each time

Under bonnet sound deadening cover was looking a bit worse for wear

Removed it to try and clean it better and get rid of the white edges but no good so it’s staying off for now.
