Has anybody managed to code rear lights with drls on a 2016 MY,
Got my new 15.7 cable today and can't get it to work tried both the short way and the longer one on the stemei.de website but neither are working, cable is working ok as I've managed to do mirror fold etc

I done my 2016 fr with 15.7.1 vcds.ist quite easy,but i have to disable all other inside illumination.
Coding was taken from this SCN forum,dont remember page

Tried again the long way round and it's worked along with a load of other stuff.

Trying to get the carbon MIB screen but it say coding not available in this control unit when I select long coding helper on 07

Mine doesnt say anything about coding the carbon fis,but even if restart headunit,nothing is changed.

DRL OFF, when Light switch is set to OFF

Hi Guys, my first post here

1 - I got a question, is it posible to turn of the DRLs when I set the Light switch in position OFF??
2 - If it is posible, will the DRL still turn on, when the light switch is set to AUTO??


I have sweeped the net and this thread and no luck.

Looking forward to your report - changing things like this, is like washing the car. You imagine it to be better and the differences, or lack of, is something you suddenly become aware of because you start focusing it

I tested it this weekend,changed it into "audi",and i dont know what to say.MAYBE is throttle little more sensitive.possibly because i was more focused in that thing.maybe is all in our head :-D
Something else wierd happens,my cruise control,acting wierd. When i turn it on,notthing happens,but when i push lower button(which is for decrasing CC speed),it turns on,and works normal.
Before that,u turn it on,lower left numbers(total driven distance) were gone,and push upper button and viola.
Must investigate further.

I had some errors in my log due to control engine 01 so i have changed it back... Still trying to figure out why my byte 00 value is 11/12 instead of 01/02, but don't know anyone with vcds 15.x who can tell me what possible vehicle types there isin bit3-5

I also noted that total km was showing in the the FIS display when Audi setting was enabled, normally it would just show -- and the icon for cruise control. However when cruise control was enabled, it showed the cruise speed and the setting stored.

Seems like there's some 'unknown' things happening when the system thinks it is an Audi ... not sure it is a good thing.

Found the code and added some text

Seat Leon 5F VCDC LED Daytime Running Shutdown

Most cars in Europe have the DRL ON regardless what position your light switch is set on, here is a fix.


This code will turn OFF the DRL in light switch position "0"
1- select STG 09 (vehicle power)
2- STG Access Permission -> Function 16
3- Enter access code 31347
4- STG adjustment -> function 10
5- Channel (9) - Select daytime running lights only in switch position Auto
6- put emphasis on active

This code ads an extra line in Light setup menu on the radio DRL ON/OFF

1- STG 09 cent.elec.
2- STG Security Access Function 16
3- Security code 31347
4- 10 adaption air entered.
5- (2) select Daytime running lights that are activated by BAP Operating sequence possible
6- put emphasis on active

Can anyone confirm working comfort closing in case of rain?i cant get it to work on my MY2016. Cant figure it out,why rain sensor wont shut my windows?!

I understood that SEAT has changed the IR sensor so the rain closing works only on 2013/2014 models.

Could this possibly be due to my VCDS version? Using 16.8 with genuine Micro-Can Cable.

Was recently upgraded but I am starting to think that I shouldn't have!

Im having the same problem, I think it's because of the latest update, as the latest version displays the factory identifiers instead of arbitrary location numbers, so you just end up with hundreds of items in German, and no channel numbers, which makes sadly makes most of the excellent guides on here useless, unless your fluent in German or have lots of time on your hands as the lists arnt even in the same order as the channel numbers on here.

Are you using the genuine cable or a clone ? On my last few leons I had no problem coding all I needed and more, but since updating to the latest 16.8 software it's much more complicated and it can't be reverted to the older software

what are the big/key difference in the new update? People are not happy, but what is so bad with the new update. I will not update before i know the facts....but again, bugs are fixed, but no way to roll back.

I have used the search and found the options that the guides state but it comes back with channel not available, so I cannot change it.

I am in touch with Ross Tech and waiting to find out if I can go back but I am not hopeful

Apart from that it looks the same and behaves the same from what I can see so far but still playing with it....

I have managed to do some of the stuff I wanted but just the mirrors are proving tricky
