Leon FR PD170 TDi Injector problem

I have just bought a altea fr and it has a slightly lumpy idle,strong emissions smell and the dpf has come on.i have had the car two weeks and I only do 2miles to work and I know this is bad for dad's,but the light came on the week before I bought it.is this too soon for it to come on?im guessing it's had the injector recall but I was wondering how you sort these problems out.

When they regenerate the revs rise to about 1k and yes they feel a bit lump and often smell hot.

If its just two miles you may have issues but not sure I would say its the injector, anyone else?

Read the manual for how to regen it if the light comes on.

More importantly, you said the light was on before you bought it? was it a garage? may have been an issue already?

It was a private sale and they did a regen run in it and the light went off.the revs are always below 1k.iv read up about problems after the recall sound like mine but iv not seen a fix as such.the dpf has now gone off and I havnt done a regen or drove very far,just normal miles.

PD engines with DPF is just a time bomb waiting to happen. Such a bad thing in these engines

Went out in the car today and when I started the car the dpf light didn't come on even though it was on last night.the car is also smoking on tick over.it did do a few stutters today when I tried to put the foot down a little.does anyone have any ideas or anyone had this on another pd 170 and fixed it?
I do have a seat sticker in the boot boot not sure if that is the recall sticker.

Iv just been on the blower to seat and they say my car wasn't part of the recall.could anyone advise me on weather this is true as my engine code is bmn.i was under the assumption that all these pd170's had the recall!

I am looking into replacing dodgy injector as per the previous page, I put injector cleaner through the last tank of fuel and had no issues for over 2 months and now it's happened again a few times, also there is a slight misfire under heavy accelleration which it did have before but it's more noticeable now.

This is my injector and my car is listed as using this injector (Engine code CFJA/CEGA).

This is quite a silly question but want to be 100% sure before proceeding, the cars listed above all use the exact same injector as is in my car or is there different variants? As some are for 105bhp cars and others for 170, as there are loads advertised on eBay as such but wouldn't want to buy the wrong one.

Checking the link I posted above your car is shown as having the same injector as mine which is the common rail engine and not the 'crap' injectors.

The common rails didn't come in until 08 did they and my car is a 06.i had an email off seat saying my car is not effected so I'm going to check the timing and go from there.

Jus been out to my car and it is defiantly not a common rail.its the 2.0 tdi pd170.

No but I'm sure the injectors were the ones they used in the 140bhp engines which started in 2004, is urs a 170bhp as they are all that's affected I'm sure.

Got my self a vcds to check the torsion value and it's way out so in guessing this is my problem.
Torsion is on 2.97
On a side not iv just scrolling thorough thee assuring blocks and came across piezo unit injector status,they all running on 0.0 does this mean it had them and has had them out?
