On my 130 I Fitted new head unit and dab aerial. had to take several panels off to get at the mess of wiring of the Parrot bluetooth install from the previous owner.
Also hopefully now got the last of the water from under the rear carpets, didn't want to cut like I've done before so slowly using a point and syringe with a straw on it to get under it. Can't hear any more squishing when I push into the carpet.

On my 110 I tried to get the boot open, gave up. pumped up the tyres and rolled it forward to avoid a flat spot developing. Waiting for the rain to go and I'll look at the next stage of replacing the head.

Finally got round to doing my pollen filter reseal and also did my oil change, unfortunately whoever did the last oil filter change must have seriously overtightened the oil filter cap as the swine will not budge, I had the torque wrench up to 55Nm and it just clicked and the cap socket I used just slipped, so god knows how tight it is.

Will be attempting to change the oil filter tomorrow at my mates who's got various oil filter changing tools though I'll need to be extra careful with the cap being plastic! :(

Pics being uploaded as I'm typing this so look forward to images in the readers ride! :)

They ease out, start at either the rear or front screen end and using a plastic trim tool coax them out. The strip sits in a rubber channel that might come out as well, just found it easier to reseat the strip into the rubber channel then replace with firm pressure in the roof gulley.

The trim is plastic so may not hold paint well.

Joyride :stick: oh dear, quite an apt name considering it'll probably be quite the opposite in the cold and damp

Today I'll be gingerly driving the 120 mile commute ready for ripping it apart tomorrow, I really need to do some paint correction too, can't have a shabby car :)

Oh my bad, its JoyRoad lol...not much better, it's only on the back anyway and I took a few corners in the wet quite quick this morning and they held up :p I learned my lesson after having part worns and one blew out at 70mph

Lol! I once had a set of wanli tyres already on some alloys I bought to put on my stage 2 Passat that just would not wear down and where shocking in the wet and not exactly great in the dry, I think I binned them with 5mm still as they where just so bad, I also once left my mate to get me a set of tyres through his work, he turned up with Autogrip tyres, he kept saying his tyre man was praising how good they where (obviously trying to shift them on) I fitted them as they where £30 a corner, and I literally couldn't wait to get them back off again, utterly dangerous tyres.

If I had no monies then I literally wouldn't go lower than say falken, kumho, maxxis, brabum or maybe at a push nakangs.

hankook are a very good tyre along with uniroyal and nokian, then you usual other mid range stuff that's out there.

I have a thing about uniroyals  I do like the v12 hankooks but the uniroyals come in cheaper and do as good a job if not better in the wet, the new RS3's are a cracking tyre for the price, I also just fitted a set of maxxis victors sport on the A8 but i'v not had much chance to use them yet after doing a number on the head and bending some valves, I usually wouldn't of bothered but I got a set of 5 brand new tyres in 255/45/19 for £140 delivered from Germany ;) so just couldn't say no, plus having Quattro helps with what ever tyre your using.

£140 for a set of 5??? I need the site link right now lol

It was tyre leader, there was something amiss, either pricing error or trying to move stock, but they went through with the sale and the tyres turned up at my door, the next morning the price had gone back upto £100 each, the only thing was the DOT code was the middle of last year, other than that it was billy bargain :)

Ah yeah tyre leader was where I had mine from :)...the hancooks are very nice though, the road noise is minimal inside the cabin compared to the shite i was running before

I also decided I want to get some spacers for the rear wheels :p
