Hi lads . After buying a full interior/external led bulb kit from eBay about 3 months ago , an error has came up now and again for front left sidelight but it would go away after switching off and on again. Now my numberplate warning is permanent on . I don't think it's one bulb, more a combination of the total resistance is popping up an error on the 1st bulb the system comes to as it scans round.(I swapped the sidelights round but it still said left one was faulty , and with normal bulbs in there's no faults)

I've spent the last hour searching the forum and my head is pickled with options with varying price and reliability. So I thought I'd ask here to see if you can help. All I need is sidelights and numberplates for 2010 Facelift FR.

What have yous fitted and any links apreciated !

Was about to fit my Triple R splitter but I opened the box today to take a look and fit and the corners don't look good, do they all come like this ?

Looks like it's been scraped. Mine had similar damage on 1 corner, but didn't notice it originally - figured I did it. Just touched it up with a gloss black pen and it looks fine now.

Battery Box

Today I replaced the Felt battery shroud with the plastic replacement from Dave @SereMotors.

Much easier than I remembered when I did it on my pre facelift MK2 Leon. No need to remove the air box or any other parts as there is room enough to work. I disconnected the negative terminal and the positive, removed the felt cover and swung the negative cable out of the way and dropped the back of the new battery box down behind the batter and clipped it into place. Then I tried to attach the front of the box, but the positive cable got in the way. So I reattached it to the battery and was then able to rebend it so the it exited the battery box at the correct place - middle bottom (yellow arrow). The front clip located (as per the red arrow) and the front guides slipped into the back of the box. Then it was simply a case of reattaching the negative cable and clipping the lid of the box in place and job done.

20 minutes from start to finish an no need to remove the battery. Took it for a spin up the road and all the warning lights were out within 10 foot of leaving my driveway.

It does but they are kind of not scratches more of the paint not being applied right or it not taking right in them spots. It seems to be every corner that has a bad finish over all even if it is fully black.

I used the contact form on the TRC website but not heard a responce yet. I had more hope in these guys with all the great reviews they had.

Give them a call mate, they'll be in the workshop most of the time. Sounds disappointing though.

It's been a while since I last done anything but that's mainly due to insurance, mot, service and tax in the space of a week however I've managed to tidy up the boot with a rubber liner tray and a little organiser which is a lot better and now the car has developed a rattle at idle that gets worse as the engine heats up, getting it looked at today so fingers crossed it's nothing to major.

Did you get six months tax to avoid the tax falling on the same week as mot and insurace?
