It had an sandwitchplate already so i didn't need to fiddle around there. For the oile pressure I left the cable hanging as there is now some sort of another oil pressure thing on the sandwitchplate... will have a look next week when i swap my oil if it'll fit, other that that, just pulling cables and connecting them :)

Change my nackered bonnet

Fitted new bonnet and bonnet pins

Carbon fibre vinyl wrapped it

Next job power steering pump.
How easy/hard is this to do and do I need to change anything else at the same time or just the pump ?

Well had to drop the car off at the garage, battery light came on yesterday on my way to work and managed to get it in to the garage around the corner from me, I suspected the alternator had finally gone since the battery light came on once before previously but went off on it's own.

Turns out it's finally had it, so will be without the car for a few days! :'(

Makes a huge difference in the throw. I got side to side one also so feels nice and tight all round! Bit of a pig to pull the old one off the spline though lol

Stage 2 mk1 LCR 291bhp AmD tuned.

A few days to change the alternator, surely not much more than an hour or so ?

Aye, due to their full diary, hoping it can be squeezed in today and done with so I can pick it up and have my wings back, otherwise I'll be waiting until sometime next week, not a lot I can do bar wait, though when I get the car back it's having the back doors screwed out of it hahaha!

From what they told me the work they had booked in before mine was an Audi A5 or A6 on the ramps which is having a new gear box, the rest where MOTs / Services.

Booked a long weekend for the weekend coming so I can do the oil, oil filter and pollen filter, will see if I can also find where the leak is for the A pillar too, then once the pollen filter is resealed the car is in for a good scrubbing! I've been putting it off due to the leaks, but once this one is done I can finally stop putting off the cleaning! :D

A pillar leak can either be the bonnet cable grommet, the wiring box under the wipers, or a split in the seam sealant also under the wipers

Hey mate, I should have been more clear haha! I mentioned pillar leak due to its location, the leak is at the very top of the pillar, either windscreen corner or possibly the section above the drivers roof top where you put the roof rack on, not sure on the name of the part on the roof :D

Rang this morning to find out about my car, won't have it back until monday, roll on!

Just had the car back, happy chap again! =D

Shiny new alternator and also had to have the cam belt replaced too as it was cracked in a few places.
