anyone know if its possible to change the time that it allows you to "drive assist"? 15 secs is the default and even though i'm holding the wheel (lightly) it beeps at me thinking i'm not using it. upping it to 30-45 secs would be handy.

Played around with vag-com today. Did most mods listed here. My fiance thinks The steering is way to heavy even in standard mode. Under steering and adaptions there was a line, similar to steering support character, setup by default was " by driving modes" bit there were options such as, comfort which i tried.. Have any of you driven an old american car, that feeling, way to easy. Didnt have more time but the options you could pick between,

Hi newbie to this site and hoping you chaps can help me out. Awaiting delivery of a 184 fr. Been looking through some of these coding tweeks and I'd like to do some myself when mine arrives. At the mo I have Bosch KTS diagnostic equipment but I'm not sure if I can access all the same coding mods as a Vcds. I'm inly planning on doing a few changes so I don't want to buy the Ross tech lead but are these aliexpress ones any good on newer cars??
I'm also after some number plate surrounds, can anybody point me in the direction of where I can find the 'seat-in-Berlin.de plate surrounds? Seen them on a couple of cars linked to this site but I can't find where to buy them.

Does anybody have experience with the hill hold control and VCDS?
The hill hold on my car is terrible and I would like to disable it.
I have a very steep shared driveway which I have to drive up and reverse back down on to a main road. When reversing down, I get near to the bottom and wait for a gap in the traffic. Once a gap appears I can't get the car to move again for 4-5 seconds. While trying to get it moving again the car stalls, then bloody rolls away. I personally think it's dangerous.
I've driven a lot of cars with hill hold, but nothing that behaves like the Leon.
I see the A3 doesn't have it as standard and can be enabled with VCDS. So this makes me think it can be disabled on the Leon.
I have a cable and software but need a little guidance if anyone has tried this before.

I followed this and it works perfectly
One tip though, when you power off the Virtual XP, use the save option . This will mean every time you start the virtual version of XP you will always have 30 days to activate it, the trial will never end

some options you need to edit the binary so if bit0 = 1 then that would prob be it.
I tried this by changing the binary to 01111010 and it wouldn't accept, any ideas?
Did you change byte once you changed the bit (so click on say byte 9) - you should then see the 6A change in the byte list.
Personally not adjusted it but saw it in the menu when making adjustments. There are 3 or 4 levels of hill hold available
