I gave mine a thorough clean. Polished with autoglym super resin polish then used meguiars ultimate wax. Removed the wheels, polished them inside and out, repainted brake calipers and hubs silver, scrubbed inside the wheel arches . Also removed the winter tyres and replaced the front tyres with Michelin pilot super sport. Car looks brand new again. I know the guys at the garage I get to change my tyres and they commented how ridiculously clean the car was.

Lol. Also did all the interior as well and engine bay. Car gets washed at least once a week so wasn't in a really bad state. Just did the same to my wife's car yesterday. She doesn't understand why I enjoy doing it!

Well today I pulled over on my way to work as the tire pressure warning went off. One of the fronts was down 2psi to the rest, so hoping it was just under filled or something as with under 500 miles on the car, ill be pretty annoyed if its a puncher.

Also got an email from the stealer to say that my cup2's are in so going to collect them tomorrow... along with a small recall on the car - I've asked what its for, I'll update here if its anything interesting.

presumably the hammerite will cover the rusting hubs?
your hubs going rusty like mine are?

Yes, they were starting to show the first signs of rust so I thought I would try and keep on top of it. The problem with the style of wheel fitted to the Cupra is they are very open and the hubs are exposed. For me it ruins the look of the car if you have rusty hubs on show, but then I am a bit fussy.....lol

And on the subject of being fussy, a few hours were spent today removing any trace of winter from the engine bay (Ok, I'll get my anorak.....)

I use ArmorAll Protectant mate, It is easy to apply and gives a nice finish :)

I always find that washes off really easily. I've not found a plastic dressing that I'm really happy with. The best I've found is a "Chemical Guys" dressing, fondly nicknamed by us as "Monkey Spunk".
Looking at your Cupra pics, you've "lost" the rubber pads that sit at either edge of your bonnet shut panel. I found one after cleaning mine just after I found it on the drive. Could I find where it came from? Anyway I dislodged the other a few weeks ago & realised where the other one lived. In spite of how easiliy they were dislodged they were a real pain to relocate.

You have me confused! It would help if you could post pictures of the rubber pads you think I have lost.
