I see the holes you talk about, but there was never anything in them from new. Are you sure these were not transit blocks that the dealer should have removed.

Hmm, good point but no, I don't think so. They're made from decent rubber not just cheap foam.

You have me confused! It would help if you could post pictures of the rubber pads you think I have lost.

Just went and looked at mine, the only rubbers I have are 4 on the underside on the bonnet, none in the described position, but I do notice I have the washer bottle in front of the coolant reservoir on the drivers side, but don't think this should change anything.
Also I too clean my engine bay, as used to keeping my bike engines clean so just because you can't see it why should I treat the 280's engine any less.

On the underside of your bonnet, at the front, do you have two rubbers (one either side) that can be adjusted, and two holes ( again one either side) near to said rubbers that look like they could take a screw in rubber but there is nowt in them ? Cant put a pic up I'm about 300 miles away from car atm :(
Washer bottle on ours is nearside.

That looks very similar to the block on the underside of the bonnet on mine. Looking at the picture it just doesn't look as if that is where it is meant to be.

Could be wrong though (I normally am......)

So I took her for some detailing last week and picked her up after a couple of days.

Here she is looking even better than the day I collected her. There were so many swirls on the paintwork, they must have used a wire brush to clean her in the garage.

Turns out the detailer has a passion for Leons and used his best gear on it.

I've spent the day showing off the shine :)

The iPhone doesn't really do the job justice and I should have some more photos from another camera soon which I will be showing off! It was worth being apart from it for a couple of days and every penny!
