Hi, been a member for a bit but this is my first post.

I currently drive a white 2012 Seat Leon FR+ 170 cr from new and now time for a change.
Test drove Leon 184 diesel this morning as dealer couldn't get hold of 1.8 tsi and loved it. Problem is I recently got a works van so the car would probably do less than 6000 miles per year on mostly short journeys. Based on this I have ordered the 1.8tsi(don't want DPF issues). Just hope the petrol feels as quick as the diesel.

Ordered:
Leon FR SC 1.8tsi
Phantom black
Technology pack
Titanium pack
Seat sound system(wasn't going for this, it was a spur of the moment decision).

Imagine the 8-12 week will feel a long wait. Flipping snow this morning so couldn't test drive properly but knew I'd get one even without a test drive as love the Mk2 and great reviews on the Mk3. Did contemplate a Vauxhall Astra GTC 200ps 1.6 turbo but reviews are bad and worry I'd regret leaving Seat.

well, Ronster, I think you've made a good choice of colour.
Sound Pack is excellent too...gonna be a long wait, but hopefully when it does arrive the snow'll be gone.

Congrats mate ordered mine this week too so should be getting around the same time :D
Didn't go for the seat sound, decided on sunroof instead. Black will look good with the titanium pack.

Cheers guys.

Red 1.8 FR Rob66. I wanted red with the titanium pack but the good lady wanted black, so black it is. Not keen on the standard wheels or the performance alloys. I'm hoping the 1.8 will give a good sound during a spirited run. The FR 184 sounds good when you put yer foot down but there's no getting away from the noisy Diesel engine sound on a cold morning.

Hi Ronster i was looking for a 184 Fr diesel for ages and had a big list of what i wanted sunroof, seat sound tech pack and everything else i could get as didn't have cash for brand spanker and all i test drove was the 150 and 184 but got fed up keep waiting.
But then i spotted a 1.8 tsi on net in Bury St Edmunds, i in Leic so drove down they gave me keys and said you can take it out on your own, so went for a sedate test drive ;) lol.
I was smitten i LOVE IT, i don't do miles for diesel and came from a 2.0 TDI Altea but not FR its a great car i don't think you will be dissapointed. :)

I'm certain I won't be disappointed Toon. Can't wait.

Bertandernie you did well getting a test drive on your own. My second Seat and both times I've had the salesman with me. Today it was the salesman's own car so with snow on the ground I think he was a little nervous. Couldn't see what it was really like with him at side of me. Nice salesman though(incase he reads this). Glad you found what you wanted.

I would of liked the DSG Toon, but got in trouble for overspending with the sound system. Seen a couple of vids on YouTube of the 1.8 DSG being booted and looks and sounds great

The manual box will be just as much fun! Hope you enjoy it.

Meppershall Beds.
Letchworth seat were happy to let me take the car out alone for an hour. I left them my car and keys, naturally, but they were really relaxed about it.
so I bought it from them.....well, you have to, don't you?

wow,
can you give more details on the remap? I also have the DSG 1.8, was talking to a guy from the service depot who was really nice, has a tuned old Cupra and told me remap is good but the dry DSG may cause problems due to the torque limit etc.

Found a local shop who is an official APR partner, they will have a look at my ECU next week. They say the 7sp DSG should be able to withstand the remap with no problems and that it actually helps smoothen up the shifting.

Its a custom remap from my local dealer. I really like the tune and the DSG holds perfectly. I peak at 17.2 psi (stock 14 psi) but now, I get lots of boost from 2k rpm!! Stock, dyno read 191.2 hp and after remap, 257hp.

Yes, dry clutches 7sp DSG can deal with this tune. In a month I'm taking my car to a track, let's see how that goes...
