What I'd like is to turn off that irritating thing where you're in 4th gear (DSG in manual mode) and the car is telling you to change to 5th every time you brush the throttle, even though the engine is only doing about 1800 rpm...

I like the option in "eco" profile where letting go the throttle pedal car shifts to N (with DSG) and just cruises. Is it possible to set the same function for "normal" profile?
I don't want to stay in "eco" profile.

The Lambda sensor is obvious, as are the brake lights (must check!) but the coolant pump worries me slightly... any thoughts?

Anyone got the coding for adjusting the DRL's when the headlights are on?

Hi Zombie, are you wanting to adjust the DRL's so they are brighter when the headlight is on? If that is what you want to do then here is a tip, whatever value you set for the DRL brightness with dipped headlights I would recommend setting the same value for when indicators are on. If you didn't and the value for the indicators were lower say, then at night when the headlights are on and when you signal the DRLs will dim (you can see by default the values are the same) I made this mistake and found it annoying! lol :D

Here are the instructions which I made a note off when doing mine initially, I have reverted back to standard settings now though.

Hope this helps

DRL dim Adjustments option in VCDS is:

*Go into [09] Central Electronics
*Go to Secuity Access and enter 31347
*Go into Adaptation
*Then change the channels as follows:

To adjust DRL brightness when Dipped and Side lights are on -
default value = 35
LHS - "(6)-Leuchte2SL VLB-10-Dimmwert AB2"
RHS - "(6)-Leuchte3SL VRB-21-Dimmwert AB3"

To adjust DRL brightness for when Indicators are on -
default value = 35
LHS - "(14)-Leuchte2SL VLB-10-Dimmwert EF2"
RHS - "(14)-Leuchte3SL VRB-21-Dimmwert EF3"

Hi All, New to the whole forum thing, but i am trying to make a few changes using vagcom but I'm having some problems, hopefully somebody could help me out :)

I have downloaded various copies of vagcom from freeware to the official lite version, and I am using a cheap elm ebay cable. The software tells me it finds the interface using COM3, but when i try to run a autoscan or access any modules it comes back unresponsive. Is there something I'm missing or have i just got the wrong tools. Any help would be appreciated, or if anybody near coventry with vagcom could help it would be appreciated. Thank you!

Why did you revert back to standard btw?

Activation of the fog lights (NSW) and Cornering

The onboard supply control unit, you have the option of the Seat Leon 5F fog lights (NSW) to activate additional as cornering. With active low beam, the respective front fog lamp is thus driven in accordance with steering angle and thus provides additional illumination when turning.

1. Select 09 – Cent. Elect.
2. Select 16 – Security Access
3. Enter Unlock Code 31347 active - Click DO IT! And yes if it brings up other boxes
4. Select 10 -Adaptations
5. From drop down select - (5) Leuchte12NL LB45-lichtfunktion B 12
6. Set Value to Abbiegelicht links active - Click DO IT! And yes if it brings up other boxes

Cornering1_zpsa7558e0b.png

7. Staying on same page select - (5) Leuchte13NL RB45-lichtfunktion B 13
8. Set Value to Abbiegelicht rechts active - Click DO IT! And yes if it brings up other boxes

cornering2_zps2fd44e8a.png

Step 7 has an error in it, should say.

"7. Staying on same page select - (5) Leuchte13NL RB5-lichtfunktion B 13"

see the image for the correct entry.
Once step 7 is done, later checking the value on step 6 says ERROR channel not available.

Hi Altea-ego, I switched back as I wanted to keep it so that the daytime running LED lights would dim when the indicators came on during the day. But with my new settings it meant that when indicating at night the LED would also dim :)

Also, can I just confirm that the 'value' is a percentage? I am pretty sure it is, just wanted to be certain.....

So I have been in contact with Ross Tech to find out why the differential lock adaption is now missing from 03-ABS, and after several emails it's looks as though it's not. It's now called No Display, I have tried it tonight logging in first with access code 20103 and I have set it to strong. Think they made a little mistake and forgot to name it correctly. Hope this helps someone in the future.✌
