HID headlight conversion went for 6k h7's. Ordered some blue sidelights as the standard ones look naff with HID's. Fitted new drivers door seal and removed drivers side seat and interior for drying out. All in all a busy day.

SAI pump, pipes and combi-valve removed! Also found out how I can get rid of all the hard vacuum pipes left over after the N249-bypass.

No wonder it was throwing a SAI code. Only 2 of the rivets were holding the thing together.

You can disconnect it and install a resistor to prevent the EML being on all the time.

But keeping one prolongs the life of yor cat.

They've changed the design now, so a brand new pump won't fail. Expensive though

It's expensive enough and useless enough to not justify the repair/replacement. I cut out the connector port on mine and soldered a resistor to the back of it, that way I just plug the port back in and can take it out if I would ever dream of buying a new pump.

Removing the pipes and combi-valve is a big step to de-cluttering your engine bay though. That justifies removing the pump, broken or not, in my humble opinion. It is THAT useless.

No not that you would notice really. Stops the manifold getting bloody hot therefore keeping air temps down. But for £8 rather than £70 for the kit im more than happy with it

Two bolt holding fuel rail down, move it out the way, I think its 10 bolts holding the manifold down. Fairly straightforward really.
