Well I've had trouble finding many threads about them but its fitted with the bxf engine, its a PD.

Its used in Mk2 Leon, Altea, Mk5 Golf and Touran.

It was slow but a Revo remap released the inner beast lol :D

You live and you learn, I thought the 1.9 was 103bhp only in the UK 1p Leon. I know there used to be 90 and 110 non PD versions in mk4 golf and sister cars. But I did not know the PD was also available in 90bhp. So what did the remap bring it up to? 135ishbhp?

Yeah I reckon it was around that, never had it on a rolling road but the difference was unreal. Like a completely different car tbh.

Recorded a video of the turbo siren noise before it goes in for replacement next week. You can also hear a bit of flutter on lift off. Not sure if that's normal or what causes it?

2.0 Tdi ref sport by the way

my pollen and fuel filter has arrived. know how easy the pollen filter is to change.

but is the fuel filter just a case of undo all the bolts, pull it out and put new in, or is there more to it?

As you should be. These are sub-par.

I've never seen anybody put a seq on a Leon. Nice touch!!
Are you sure you ordered the one that goes in the centre console? This one looks like a top mounted one for use in a track car without interior

Had a lovely text & picture message this morning that my other half has discovered a kerb mark on the N/S/F of my previously unmarked alloys, yet denies all knowledge of actually causing it[:@]

It certainly wasn't there when i washed the car on the weekend and i would have noticed if I had clouted a kerb

Haha...sorry, I'm having a particularly unhelpful day on the forum but...isn't that the general idea of any car work? :)

Undo bolts, pull out old, put in new, do bolts up again.

Thanks! I wasn't sure what feedback I'd get from the forum.. This mod is like marmite, people will hate it and ridicule me or love it! Haha it's the under tunnel one, comes with instructions on how to mount under, just not sure what to do gaiter wise, I'm currently rebuilding a new long ratio gearbox it has steel forks as standard but need bronze slider caps, so I'm going to fit them and transfer my peloquin diff and install new vibratechnik mounts (engine/gearbox/ subframe/dog bone) then install my new SM performance clutch kit at once! Few weeks yet... :( lol

Got soaking wet while trying to get the egr valve off!! Now cleaning it under the awning and will wait for the weather to improve before attempting to refit it. Was enough of a bugger to get off! Let's hope refitting isn't much more awkward!

maybe so but wondered it needed draining down prior or re priming after etc instead of just the obvious. :p

Been rear ended tonight. Feel gutted.

Was turning left into a side street following a car.
The car in front of me stopped dead just after turning, so I stopped dead, however, my rear end was sticking out into the main road.
I was stationary for about 5 seconds....then bang! Hit up the ar$e.

I think it looks worse than it is. Hopefully, there isn't any structural damage and it's just a new bumper.
All reported to the insurance, see what happens.
