24 hour turnaround on the server to update Newbies...........

I was Moderating SIDC and Scoobynet before half of this lot were even BORN!! :D :D

HTC OneX+ is getting slow so might root that.

I just use Nexus 7 for LINE, MX Player and DSLR Controller.

Rooting alone won't make much difference in speed, I can't really compare to anyway against car mods. If you want speed deleting old crap can help, change the kernel (the software which is the brain to your hardware) and change to an aosp rom / firmware. These generally require root and boot loader unlocking and you have to be happy to wipe your ass with the warranty and install custom recovery and always know how to get back to your software in a working state. Xda is a good place for such stuff, I'm over there with a very very similar user name

I found out the rear tailgate isn't locking so have asked some questions on here about it.

Try changing fuses 14 and 38. These images will show you where and which amp to use. Fuse board located at the end of the dash board drivers side. Pops off with a screw driver.

Got me a lovely build up of heavy condensation on the inside of the rear windscreen and mild on rear windows. The weather is slightly misty by me. Opening the boot loads of water keeps dripping out of this thing that looks like a screw on the right of the boot lid when its open. Got some moisture in the rear light units. I'm wondering if this persistent squeeking is actually from the rear screen vibrating, I didn't no it was so badly sealed until today. Searching has come up with not really any useful ideas, specifly for bad window seals being squeeky. So that with the water in foot wells and slow coolant leak and piss poor rear wiper washer (no water inside boot) my car should be a boat or submarine lol

Nuked a coilpack on the way to work, not the best when you need a bit of foot down coming onto the dual carriageway.... 2 mins later I'm on the way after a quick fault code scan and installation of the spare pack I keep in the car ;)

These packs have lasted well, picked up 4 when I was on holiday in Florida in 2003 :cartman: and are the old 'L' revision iirc.

Better get some more in stock now

Wasn't too sure if they'd cover that particular revision? Or have they changed the rules on which ones now get swapped? Last time I'd looked at the recall it wasn't covering the revision I had.

Love these cars with their consumable electronics, MAF, coilpacks, CTS, CCMs, lambda sensors, oil level sensor...
