Looked at it...a lot... sorted out the insurance (at last) and made a booking to get the windscreen sorted. Now deciding where to start modifying....

Finally got round to doing my driver's door seal, took about an hour including removing, re-fitting and swapping over everything over to a new door card as one of the clip retainers had come off mine!

The old stuff that came out looked like this:

All brittle and really hard to scrape off where the water had degraded it. Now to wait for a rainy day to see if it's worked :)

Coil packs died so it gave me the final kick in the ass to fit my 2.0 TFSI coilpacks along with new spark plugs.

Since I had to take the N249 valve and vacum chamber out the way to fit the coil packs I did a bypass. Taking a 4mm vacum hose from the DV to the hose coming from under the manifold connected together using a inline joiner. Simple and cheap

Cleaned mine ready for Pod tomorrow and realised I can't polish a turd,

I tried to do mine about 10 days ago or so. It is literally physically exhausting man. I washed, dried, applied polish to an area, left it to dry a bit, buff and move on to next area. Honestly it takes a good 2 hours min to do it. Electric buffer added to x max list lol

Got battered today by a medium branch falling from a tree near forest of dean area. Was travelling around 40ish behind other cars and literally out of no where a branch fell from a tree. No time to swerve or break. Properly shat me up. The sound was awful. Nice mark on the roof, windscreen frame painted area, ****ed up my driver side wing mirror. The plastic is cracked, casing loose, glass was hanging off. Pulled over asap and was able to roughly clip it back in place and seems ok and had to re-adjust it. Really wouldn't mind another set though. ******* tree....

Random question not worth bothering making a new thread for. With remote central locking am I imagining that upon locking all the indictors flash or is that just unlock?
