Congrats on the new arrival mate :D

Wheels look awesome though, did you have any trouble with the clearance on the fronts at all? Been wanting XXR's for ages and have been waiting for someone to do it lol

Hello all, I just thought I would add some more photos.
I'm loving my wheels, I'm glad I managed to find a set of wheels that suits my car as much as the bbs I had.

It needs more lows on the front but just not suitable for the road leading upto my house.

I changed my fuel lines for black braided hoses with an finishers, thought it looks classy :)

The other day I came across a new carbon wrap, 4D. So I had to try it.
Thoughts are, much better looking than the 3D 3m I used before, has a good gloss finish. In certain lights it looks the real deal, it's 90 %there.

I have also ordered a 60mm defi oil temp gauge to match the boost gauge. New twin nomad pillar. I'm also changing my dogbone mount from ths to power flex as I don't have room to have much engine movement.

Thanks for reading.

So what size spacers did you use Sam ?
The plastic trim looks good

Thanks Darren.
Spacer wise I needed 10mm to clear the coilovers on the front. I have fitted 20mm all round for looks :) amazing even with this et the concave design clears the brembos without spacers

You did well to get them to clear without spacers, I was sure they wouldn't clear, they sit well with the 20's on

Must admit I was touching cloth when you said last time. Lucky they were a good fit.
On the 20s the tyre just tucks under the arch, the rim is flush with the body and he spokes sit out slightly, this for me was the best look.

Congrats on the little one Sam, make sure she grows up a City fan!

Car is looking great, I'll have to actually see it one day, not sure if you remember but I had a LCR mk1, I had a little break and now back with a mk2 Cupra k1 and the mods have started!

Congrats again mate.

I wasn't sure on these wheels when I saw you were getting them but they've turned out well. Good job!

Engine bay looks good Sam. Some tidy touches :)

Hey Tim ofcourse I remember you :)
My daughter should be arsenal supporter, but yes city over the gas any day.

Looks immense bud, top work!!

Where abouts did you get the braided pipe from?

Thanks dude, I got the hoses and fittings off eBay.

Thanks Tom, yes the wheels were a risk, firstly not knowing how they would fit and secondly never seen them fitted to a leon or even a euro car for that matter. I think they look awesome and even better in the flesh. Hopefully we can meet up this year, and Darren :)

I have spent a long time perfecting bits in the engine bay :)

Thanks for the comments guys.

A bit late Sam, but congrats on the family's latest addition. It's amazing how time flies when they're that young. Our first born is now 4 months old and I can't quite believe when the time has gone! An amazing life experience though :)

Your car looks fantastic Sam! The wheels finish it off perfectly. Much more planned :)

Little update, I bought another defi gauge, this time oil temp. I also bought a twin nomad pillar in 52mm. I got the dremmel out and bored the holes out to 60mm to fit both gauges.

Looks cool and there big :)

I also treated myself a DA polisher, should have bought one years ago.

comes with lots of polishing pads but not sure on the quality so will probably get some better ones. I won this lot on eBay for £60 in auction :) brand new and comes with 2 year warranty. It has 710 watt motor so up there with the pro stuff.

I'd understand if you were going for something with more power, but a MK2 seems like a pointless move from your car Sam.

Why not just fit the TFSI turbo like Prawn to your car as the engine has been uprated and is ready for it anyway? And sell the ebay turbo. You're gaining very little getting the MK2 which won't have had anywhere near the work put in as your MK1 nor at the same standard.

I'm not slating MK2's as there's some lovely stage 2+ one's on here, but I'd seriously think if it's financially better to keep yours and TFSI it rather than sell and buy a whole new car.

Have a good think first before you rip it apart like Danny has done to his.
