Why?

Much nicer car (in my opinion of course), had a really great day out in it and the build quality is just night and day. Considering it is lower and stiffer than the Cupra, it rides much better and gives way more confidence through the twisty roads.
But not everyone's cup of tea, but we had a Cooper in 2005 and always regretted selling it.

Each to their own I guess but I wouldn't swap my car for one.

Enjoy it though fella.

Sounds like a good choice to me

I've always liked the new shape minis and have toyed with buying an R56 Cooper S in the past. It is indeed a nicer than the Leon (albeit smaller) but I've always found them a bit expensive and high mileage compared to the equivalent Ibiza or Leon on the used market.

What did you choose pal down at silverstone?

I did the Cayenne, I really enjoyed it. It's amazing how capable it is offroad without any offroad modifications, including tyres. It's also really capable on a track, when the instructor floored it round it was very impressive, even I overtook a boxster s!

Yeah there quality. Like the instructor said once, a range rover would be more capable however it would get laughed at on the track. I can remember when you go over the rocks and they tell you to left foot break, my mate nearly sent the instructor through the windscreen lol.

Hahaha I didn't dare try left foot braking! It's not quite as smooth doing it with just one foot but its still good fun. I've learnt a lot about how to handle a car if I do ever happen to hit ice so that's good!
My instructor said I should seriously take the advanced driving course as he was really impressed with my throttle control and handling of the car!
