Lol long story I think niki got banned on here and his company was asterisked out too.

Yes cheers chaps. Alex will finish the car and niki will map it. Only the best work on my car. :)

Niki sounds like a quality mapper, only read good things about him!

I may have a suggestion regarding the jacking point cover...Mine was a pain in the arse to get on properly, in the end I took the whole side-skirt off and fitted it that way. At the same time realising that the ones I thought were on properly weren't either so I done them all at the same time. Side-skirt is only 6 star bolts and it comes right off. You'll be surprised how much more secure they are when done with the side skirt off the car.

I've had a chat with Niki and my car will be mapped by him later in the year. I can't see him doing a discount he's mega busy and resionably price to start with.

Stick with it Bret. Those Rods seem to be highly thought of. It'll be worth the wait come the spring time when you can start enjoying the potentials in the sunshine :)

Ok so as I said on another thread. The car is now booked into AKS Tuning for the full rebuild.

Goes in on the 3rd July while I go on holiday. Alex has agreed to run the car in for me too, which will save me a lot of grief.

Getting a whole bunch of new stuff maybe including a rear bar and maybe a decat. Don't know yet.

All I'm gonna say is it was a long time coming but I admit the love has died quite a bit lately. :(

Is this rekindling the love then?

Should be awesome when you've had it done, a bullet proof engine to do what you will!

The love will be back once it's done, keep the faith..

If you don't have a decat you need one on the car!

With the cobra, you have to buy virtually the whole system again for a decat. So new down pipe and decat that mates to my current cat back will be £350 ish so it's very pricy.

Good to hear you are finally getting the rods fitted, i can totally understand about you losing the love, i'm going through the same. Been giving it some serious thought about selling up and having something different but i can help but think i will regret selling it. Stick with it buddy it be worth it in the long run. ;)

Cheers James. Not gonna lie, was in no rush to get it done tbh. Can't even remember the last time I washed or hoovered it. This is bad for me as I normally have OCD overload if its not Hoovered at least once a week.

Number plate at front was pulled off (haven't put it back yet- been a week) and someone bumped the rear a couple days back (gave it a quick look - seemed fine). Painted brembos a year ago and still haven't put 'brembo' labels on!!!!

List is endlesssss and tbh it doesn't faze me at all. Driving has become no fun at all these days. Always stuck behind slow drivers and the ride quality of car and crappy roads I'm always stressed and sweating buckets on short drives that should be stress free lol.

You just need to take it out on the right country roads away from traffic and bogged down suburban areas as it's not what these cars are about.

Get those Brembo decals on! ;)
