I got a bit more done on the splitter tonight.
I've rounded off all the edges this help the carbon cloth to stck in place as all it wants to do is lift and lay flat.

Marked out where the OEM splitter will sit so I know how far to go with the base layer of carbon

Next I coated all the edges with base coat epoxy resin to seal the edges, I then wrapped the lead edge in a base layer of carbon

I want to build up the lead edge as much as possible to prevent it wearing down too quick and exposing the ply, the clean resin is very tough so with 2 layers of carbon and a few coats of clear resin it should hold up pretty well.

Next stage will be to cover the rest of the under side with the "rough" carbon and then cover with clear resin.
Once that has cured for 24(ish) hours it'll be sanded down till it's nice and smooth and then I'll wrap it in the 2 twill carbon

Great progress on the splitter mate. Let me know if you need a hand with fitting it. I am great at sitting on my ass holding things in place!!!

Took advantage of the long weekend and the nice weather and managed to get quite a lot done on the splitter

Underside,

Top side

After the 1st coat of clear resin,

This after being rubbed down and then a nice thick coat of clear resin

I've cheated a bit and only built up the bit that will be seen, I did'nt really see much point building up loads of resin on the bits that wont be seen.

This needs to cure for at least 24 hours then I'll give it a light rub done and then polish it, I'm hoping to get away without lacquering it.

As always I had made up too much resin and I hate wasting it so I found something else to wrap :D

Again this will need around 24 hours to cure then rub it down again, due to the shape I will have to resin one side at a time let it dry then do the other side.

I've also dug out a couple of other bits that I'll be doing soon but I need to order some more resin first.
