This sounds like the muppets I used to deal with.
A 40 mile round trip and they had me back and forward like a yoyo only in the end to say it wasn't a fault!!!!
I had a knock and their answer was Seat don't say their cars won't knock!!!!
Good luck mate

Ok, i take that back, the fecking light output is different from the new light and looks odd compared to the old one [:@]

If you pay, they replace in pairs. If they pay then they do just one. I will be back on their doorstep first thing Monday morning and demanding a new light for the other side - this is the fourth time i've had to have it in for warranty work and my nearest dealership is 10 miles away!!!!

My nearest dealership is 30, count yourself lucky!

My nearest decent dealership? I'm yet to figure out how far I have to go :)

Treated it to a full tank of v power nitro, might make a change from tescos value crap! Nice clean inside out and partially wrapped/blanked the reflectors on the bumper. Also thought id have a clear out of car bits and bobs that were gathering dust.

Either that or she's trying to butter you up because shes seen something expensive and sparkly she wants...........if she says you can have new wheels costing £x, then she can spend £y on that nice new pIr of jimmy choos or a handbag

Found my rear break heat shield hanging off today and sitting against the disc so it's making a lot of noise.

Jacked the car up to look into fixing it but it just seems to sit over some studs. I can't work out how to fix it back in place.

Does anyone know?
Thanks

Just had one replaced at my local VW dealer. £77 supplied and fitted.

There are 3 bolts that hold it. You have to disk and caliper off. You need an m14 triple spline bit and alot of force to get the caliper carrier bolts off. The part, spline bit and caliper wind tool would have cost me around £45 to do it myself, so just got them to do it.

Ahh rite I recon the bolts have pulled through then and the heat shield has come right over the head of them. I couldn't see too well but it makes sense now. Ill have to take it all apart and make some big washers up at work. Thanks mate :D
