You need to ask for DPF delete, Some tuners will simply map a car with DPF in place

Im a believer that no decent tuner will map a DPF equipped car without deleting the DPF first

Lovely car you have there pal, I was there on Sunday I actually have a Vid of your car on the RR on my phone, good job I wasn't wearing white haha, I was standing quite closely behind it on the first run :).

I have mine booked into AMD for DPF Delete and Performance Map, cant wait!

Any chance you could PM me the link to the Sidelights you got? did you have to buy the ones that are Canbus compatible? Also, did you change the Fogs?

Many thanks,

Thanks mate, Can you post your vid up, I have only got a close up 1, It certainly smokes well on stage 2 lol, Shame more people weren't in the garage at the time, my aim was to clear it lol.

You won't regret getting the dpf deleted, What stage are you going for with the remap?

Heres the link for the sidelights http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-x-8-LED...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item43a92b4781 They are canbus compatible and i haven't had any warning lights come on yet, I am not going to bother changing the fogs as i don't have them on, I have got some 6k hids to go on after my mot.

Your welcome, I really like the DRL's too, you said someone called rob made them right? I'll have to read through the thread again and PM him haha. yeah man the smoke took me by surprise, I was really ill too so my reaction times were at a low haha I almost got covered! :D..

I'm not too sure what the DPF delete is going to do for me, I mean, I've read some stuff, but it's not totally clear, the main reason I'm doing it is so I don't have to deal with it going wrong haha, although I heard it gives a little extra power, slightly better throttle response and better MPG (when driving with a light foot obv), I'm only going stage 1 (for now) I've only had the car a month, this is the first thing I'm doing to it haha, so maybe after all the cosmetics are done I can move onto making it a little faster but untill then I'll be happy with anything over 200BHP and around the 320 lb/ft torque mark. :)

thanks for the link, will be ordering them tonight, along with the HID's and wind deflectors :D..

Thanks,

Edit: Just to add to this, I'm currently uploading that video to Youtube, will post it on here when it's done :).

Lovely car! Personally not a fan of the smoke either though, your car looks immaculate, then it pulls away and looks like its engine is on its last leg lol, personally opinion just as i know some people for some reason love the ole soot

Lovely car ;)
Indeed very smokey compared to mine but the smoke is a blessing sometimes when you get people driving up your back end.

I'm still behind you on the DRLs. I think I'm just going to enlist rob to make mine because we're almost 6 months in from when I got my kit and I still haven't made them :)

I also still have a boost gauge and custom driver side vent pod waiting to be installed.
Just going to get that done at Sedox as well sometime. Should be an hour max. 40 quid.

I considered lowering but I don't mind the standard stance with the 18s. Besides, it's a really comfy ride now and I don't want to spoil it. Maybe pro-lines for a bit better cornering?

I opted out of EGR delete when I had my remap.
The guys at Sedox said it wasn't much use on a car with the miles mine has, and as long as its not throwing up issues...leave it as-is. Saves some cash.

Considering an intake for some more noise...I miss my old P-Flo...although I know it won't sound the same on my CR :(

Yeah robthebubble, really good kit I don't have the patience to do them myself and would have ended up snapping something lol.

Thats the main reason i had the dpf deleted is my daily drive to work is around 7 miles on b roads so i knew the dpf would get blocked eventually but having more power with the remap is great, I made 229bhp and 320 ib/ft on amd rollers with stage 2 but my stage 1 is around 202 bhp and not really any smoke.

Thanks for the youtube link mate.

Thanks mate, The smoke doen't bother me, I actually find it funny, Thats the only thing with these engines, you can't get power with no smoke.

Lovely car! Its a credit to you :) Candy white is gorgeous!

I'm from a mixed family of Vags and Fords lol (as in, I have a Mk1 1.8t Golf and My Mk2 Tdi FR Leon and the hubby has a Focus ST3 MP290 and a 3Dr Sierra Cosworth) and I must say that I love Fords just as much as vags!

I will have to speak to Rob about the DRL's because I have different front grills to most other Fr's I've seen, I have the honeycomb inserts been looking into buying a set of the 'slatted' ones though, found some for £23 :)..

Thanks mate, Have you looked at the torque pro app and apdator rather than using a normal boost gauge?

I must admit the sportlines haven't changed the harshness of the ride, Its just a lot more possitive on turning into corners with not to much understeer, I wouldn't bother with the pro lines just go straight with the sportlines, you won't be dissappointed :D

My cars only done 44k and the only reason i got rid of the egr was so it didn't fail in the furture but when we took it off it was massively gunked up so was probably a good thing to have it deleted.

I've been using DashCommand (iPhone user) and it's just not the same as a nice hard stepper motor boost gauge :)
I know it won't be as much fun...as there is no vacuum...reading...but still.

I've read/commented on/started so many topics on Sportlines now and whether or not they make the ride more harsh...sick of it. 50% say yes, 50% say no.
I'd love to improve the corner handling (which is pretty shocking...let's admit it) but not at the cost of handling in my daily driver.

Thanks a lot, Candy white is really the only colour i wanted well apart from orange lol.

This is the 1st none ford i have had and am really impressed with it, I moved away from ford really as i didn't like the new models they are bringing out as they all look the same!

You certainly have a lot of cars to choose from day to day

your hubby has great taste in cars, I love the cossies and the escort is 1 of my all time faviote cars, wish i could afford the new focus rs.

I was the same with sportlines as its my family car too, I didnt want a really harsh ride with having my wife and lil girl in the car but there is honsetly no differance between them and standard, Yeah its not the best handling ever lol
