This is the repair on the back, can't even notice it from the front. I'm pretty happy with the spray job, not the best but its a good one.

Wow, seriously impressed at the amount of work you've put in! Credit to you for sticking with it after quite a few issues too. When I saw the headlight covers I thought "wtf" at first but I actually kinda like them now, they work on the silver.

Looking forward to seeing what's next...

Cheers :) It has had me up until 5am, bleeding, sweating, bruised, swearing I know it sounds very gay but almost crying after the turbo and box issues! But we have got through it and I do love it now, like I said in your RR, few little issues then she'll be 'reet. Then I go to sandy Oman for 3 months, just to waste money on insurance, tax and MOT! But operational money means I'll be able to look into hybrids etc!

Just spent another £100 in the ECP sale, but I sold the bumper tonight, so can sort of justify it. Also I'm back at work, so the misses doesn't know I'm spending :p I got 2x Cupra R fogs, 2x lower ball joints and Pagid front pads, not the cheap ones the £50 reduced to £30 :D Mine are quite new, done like 5000m but squeel like a pig as I didn't put the shims in lol so, hopefully only one more weekend of graft and the car will be what she's meant to be :) £40 on grilles, some black vinyl and the front will be done! CAN'T WAIT

Oooooh, and she'll then be ready for Bill to work his magic, 200bhp instead of a poxy 185bhp :) Then I'll be happy!

good work. my roof lining went wrong with dye aswell thats why i ended it up covering it in leatherette, but thats started to sag abit. i need to recover it but this time in matt black fabric so it matches the grab handles and sunvisiors etc. in the same boat, iam doing brembos, clutch and map. my splitter scraps alot too. if iam driving to london for work i take it off cause it cant handle all the speed bumps and the massive deep ramp into my work carpark, but iam off work for 2 weeks now so got it on again

This was a massive fail with regards to the lining, I did have a picture on my phone but deleted it, it was that bad! Your car will change so much, it will stop VERY well, and go very well! Also, you won't have to worry about flooring it up hills in 5/6th due to slip, mines alright but there is always that worry. Aah I wondered where you worked, I knew you traveled for work but wasn't sure where. It's alright for some then, I've just come back to this **** hole for another 3ish weeks. Did you hack off the clips in the middle of your splitter then? for ease? I've read they're a bitch to get on, but mine is the old one so it's trimmed.

Yes, Iam a contractor at a primary school in east London, hence get all the holidays. Still got the 2 middle clips on the splitter, there is a nack of getting it on and off, and I use a jack to help pop it in place lol

IT contractor. The clips sort of like a pyramid shape, get the small end in first and slide it forward and up, then push up hard till it pops in to place. To remove push them back and down till the fatter end of the clip pops out. I use a rubber mallet and tap the splitter around all the edges to get all the other clips in place.

night night lol

They can be a labour of love for sure ;) I had my turbo replaced a couple of years ago, was pure luck I came across some refurbed K04's that Bill was selling, I was all set to trade it in for an R32 at that point was so hacked off with the car. Glad I didn't now! Been very good to me ever since.

hi there... ive only just joined however ive owned my leon fr for nearly a year now id say, i really like this build youve done a really good job and some interesting mods....keep up the good work, ill be putting some pictures of mine up soon also my mods as i go along ive only just started fiddling with it again, when i first bought it i got a solid balanced and lightened flywheel and a 6 paddle clutch then got it mapped by celtic tuning also lowered it 35 mm. however since joining this site its made me want to do more .... i was just curious to your sprayed interior... maybe sounds like a daft question but did you primer that first ? its just i knew a lad with an old golf and he sprayed his black with out even bothering to primer it and it looked brilliant.. like it came from the factory like that, i was going to go and spend the money on all the plastics from a cupra r but it seems to look just as good sprayed.
thanks for any advice on the spraying method:)

Thanks :) is it a pd150? I need to do some sort of upgrade to the dmf/clutch, besides just changind for another oem one lol. This site has done bad things to me.... always looking for more things to do!
I did prime mine yeah, used satin paint and its a properly good match to the oem black lower panels! Very happy with it, just got to get a LCR black roof lining as I'm not 100% happy with mine. I'd take care with the panels if you do spray, think of all the greasy hands they've had on them, and cleaning products, snot etc lol. I was advised to clean with hot soapy water, so I cleaned every one with fairy liquid as it's a degreasant.... Get a readers ride up :D

yeh mines a pd150 its onvi yellow and has came with all the cupra r kit on and wheels.. some one was telling me mine is known as the fr+ ?, however ive had it remaped by celitic like i say and also after having some trouble i ended up getting my SMF and 6 paddle clutch from the clutch specialist or also known as cg motorsport in leeds.. amazing guy i couldnt fault him in the slightest the people i had trouble with and i will name and shame because there completely and utterly shocking was techniclutch - found on ebay never in my life will i go near this bunch of cowboys again, however my car is now running perfect just carnt wait to up the mods, my remap was ment to knock me up to 206 bhp and torque im not sure 265 standard so i think it was 395 ive gone up to, however im not going to sit here and start realing of numbers id rather have the proof behind me its off for a rolling road within the next few months so that should be interesting ill get my figures then keep up with the modding and see how much extra i keep adding on , im going to be giving my interior a go mind because i think yours looks brilliant ill get my self some satin black and give that a bash saves buying the pannels at like 25 pound a go , ive a few mods in store so youll probably look forward to seing my page soon when it starts...ive got some nice ideas IMO, ill be getting that sopy water out soon and get those plastics cleaned up ready, also if you dont mind me asking where did you get your boost gauge from i want one with a white face and red needle which also lights up in red.. carnt seem to find one anywere also is there a certain type you need for a diesel, p.s sorry for the huge essay:lol:

Yeah that's what they're called, FR+. I've just got the poverty spec FR lol. Someone once told me it's a poor mans LCR.... I quickly shut him up by informing him that my FR tdi is worth more than an LCR even with lower mileage!! Yeah get her rr'd and scan or take a photo of the results :D Your next step with modding it will have to be play with turbo's. The GT1749VB is at its limit at 200ish, so get spending ;). I went in a "230bhp 400 torque" mk4 golf the other day, and after I took him out in mine, the smile was soon wiped off his face haha. Bill has done a very good job, and it's only half done!
Be careful with the retrim on the roof lining, mine looks good from the two photos, but in real life it's a different story. It puts me off it really. I look forward to reading and FR tdi RR's, inspiration, and I am just sad and read all of the ones I can find haha. Boost gauge is a cheapo halfrauds one, autogauge 30psi gauge. If it's wired in right, you can dim it like the speedo etc and change the colour of the dials, with a memory function. £30 on the gauge (velantines present for me :D) and £50 on a nomad pillar, 2 hours to fit properly, job done. Also you'll need an "inline restrictor" I quote because you'll need to search that in the bay, so the gauge doesn't sort of stutter, buzz. It's only £4 and stops you going insane lol. This one is a vac gauge also, which means on our cars it shouldn't ever show a vacuum, because unlike a a petrol that uses a vacuum and has a dv etc, we don't lol.
