If the old was was worn/broke yeah it will make a significant difference.

Well I noticed a big drop in mpg and when I plug my fault code reader in it always brings up bank 1 below threshold. And when doing readiness test it always came up O2 sensor fail. I've deleted all the codes and took it for a run and fingers crossed its all coming up clear. The only thing that is coming up fail is catylist but it ain't got one so that's prob why. No spacer fitted on the rear sensor and no light coming on.

Well today i cleaned my throttle body out....i got told it was running rich on idle and that it probably needed cleaning plus was bit sluggish. So i did some research and found out it was easy enough to do myself and heres the progress in pictures...

can do using a vagcom that a friend of mine has. at the moment there isnt anything wrong with it its not sluggish in anyway or throwing up error codes.
i did the whole disconnect the battery thing and put the ignition on but not start the engine.

waited for the high pitched buzzing to sort itself out. started the car and away it went.

Took my car in for a service, mot, aircon service, replacement coil packs, both belts and waterpump.

Then i was told there is no point them doing the mot yet as its going to fail on a dodgy headlight bracket, damaged nsr spring, broken exhaust bracket and its going to cost over £900 to fix the steering rack,:scary: i never had any problems with the steering.

thats the plan, there is no way i can afford the over £1200 they say it needs to fix everything, its costing over £700 for the stuff they have done so far.
im going to pick it up tomorrow and find a local mot place that will hopefully not have an issue with it. its always felt fine to me.
