Re-sealed the box under the wiper with butyl strip and copious ammounts of trade spec sealant lol also the bonnet release grommet.


Also changed the pollen filter, i think it needed it :rofl:

You could always say it was a
'carbon pollen filter' they start off closer to grey than white ;) I haven't even looked at mine yet, I'm sure it will want doing though, when I get round to it.

so i finished off the debadage grill yesterday and today i put it in after spraying the rest of the grill matt black. Got a sunstrip and put the sticker on too, also dewipered the rear which is a C**t to get out

Treated it to a clean while at the Trafford centre left it in the car valet while I was shoppin with the misses and now its all shiny!

I was going to replace it I've read a few threads about removing it but I can't help but think it was put there for a reason. Lol

I thought that lol. It only does it after being driven for abit but if I switch It off and on again it boosts properly is that the common fault

No that sounds like limp mode you read the fault codes? I guess a n249 faulty would cause limp mode tbh I cant recall as I said they get bypassed

Yeh I read the codes I replaced the maf and cts the 249 is the next on the list think il get the bits to replace it and see how it goes cheers man

Found the passenger rear door is leaking in water (aye great build quality VAG, cheers :w4nk: ) so resealed that with the proper butyl rope.

Had to get the underlay out to get that dried properly, getting quite good at this now - had both leccy seats out and the underlay out in 10 mins :D

Before anyone asks, I've not put the carpet back in as there are still a couple of very small water leaks, and I'm not having it ruined until they get sorted. ;)

Mines leaking front passenger it's on the list of things to fix bloody vag ownership
