no updates really. aem boost gauge didn't like my car due to voltage drop when cranking over. now have a innovate boost gauge and works well :)
the turbo is working very well indeed (still unmapped) running actuator pressure its making 225-230 gs at 13psi, going by my past runs on the dyno running the k04 i made 290bhp from 213gs, this puts my car up in the 300s. cant wait to get it mapped.
now i do have a set back sadly :( i have a suspected leaky valve guide or seal, starts to smoke when left on idle, goes away as soon as you drive. no smoke on boost and performance is great.
i have bought a recon large port heat, just waiting for it to arrive.
coolant leak and door seals have been done.
on thursday i have some vredestein ultrac sessanta going on the rear to match the fronts.
thats it really.

That's really good news overall Sam. With the head work all done, you'll have such a well rounded car, with performance and reliability on tap. Good times:)

With regards the door seals, did you buy new OE replacements? We're they reasonably priced? Any thoughts would be very much appreciated.

Yeah it's fair to say its a well built performance car with everything covered.
For the seals, I used this as do most others,

2 rolls should do all four doors :)

Thanks for that Sam. Did you place this under the doors seal rubbers? Has it achieve a good seal on yours? :)

No. You take off the door cards. Then you can see the inner metal cage. Loose off all bolts but not the window reg. you can pull the cage away slightly appox 10mm. Then pull off the old seal around the edge of the cage and replace with the new seal. The old seals will be in poor condition. Then bolt everything back up. 30 mins to do each door.

When it turns up I can have a proper look. Not happy actually as postage was £30 and won it about 2 weeks ago.

I emailed the sell before I bid on it to see if I could pick it up as he doesn't live far from me. He said that it was in storage down south and would be sent from there. Two weeks is a long time surly he should of sent it by know.

He said to me last weekend, I will recieve on Thursday. Didn't turn up so asked him for a tracking number Thursday night and he replied saying the tracking number is at his work shop and will email me the tracking on Friday. Still nothing.
