Yes, too many, but I enjoy all aspects of motorsport, including the build and develop bit. There is always something going on here. (usually far too much..) I could have a need for a pair of 4 pots, as discussed months ago, will pm you. I remember a chat I had with an old race sage discussing vw potential race cars, and he was in broad agreement with what you have stated above. Newer is heavier, well tuned conventional 2L is formidable and probably the best bang for buck. I look at my slightly scabby mk1 sprint car with full race ABF on 45's and it fits his description. Weighs nothing, feels and looks quick.
Mk2 rally build nearing completion, although the spec is lowbrow I fully expect to have a hoot competing in it.
Must get that 1/2 built 020 with Quaiffe and 5.08:1 FD finished this week.....
