Stuck it up on the axle stands and removed the 3" Milltek downpipe, the flexi has blown so its away to get another one welded on :)

Got round all the worries of snapping the turbo studs by breaking out the nut splitter, took care of the nuts nicely without risking the studs - sorted :D

Lambdas came out nicely too, gave them a small splash of Plusgas before attacking with a big spanner, no problems.

Didn't seem as hard to get it out as expected, saw some posts on here hinting it'd be a nightmare

Just been out and wired my boost gauge and oil temp gauge up to the light block also ran the boost hose to we're it needs to be t"ed in but I've lost my t piece only have a y piece would this be ok. Just got to run the wire to the oil temp sender then done but it got too dark. Also fitted my rear wiper motor yesterday as someone had removed it for some reason and blanked it off.

Still having a few probs with the 'brain' unit. It's just so big. Trying to fit it under the centre console, below the ashtray...

Refreshed my oild and replaced oil filter of course. Used a vacuum pump (Pela 6000 knockoff) for the first time, man shouldve done that way earlier.

Oil was sucked in a matter of minutes, then lost way too much time with removing the friggin oil filter (stuck as f00k).

Went with advice from Castrol: used Castrol Edge 10W40 Turbodiesel.

Also mounted a LCR splitter, very happy again (no picture from the splitter though)!

How much was the bargain DVD player if you don't mind me asking. I had one the same a few years back and paid £500 new. Wish I hadn't sold mine now.

and i took a picture to see what a tow strap would look like on a prefacelift. I'm not gonna do it as i have a facelift bumper to fit but nevertheless i quite like it :)

Awesome tools them, we've got a snap-on one at work and just as you say it removes the oil fairly quickly. Reminds me I should use it next time to service my car as the previous guy to service messed up the threads on the sump plug :/
