Sounds like its dropped off a cylinder or 2.
Has to be a coil problem, I bet they only replaced the 1 faulty one rather than all 4

Yeah its what it sounded like when it first broke down before I called the AA and before the coil pack was replaced. When I go collect the car tomorrow to take it to Warrington I'll ask for the remaining fault code on the car and also for the job sheet for the warranty work that was just completed, that should say exactly what was replaced :) I'll post up on here when I get them!

If its missing like that I wouldn't drive it.
The canbus error is probably flagged up as the engine ecu will be getting spiked from the coil.
Is there anyone local to you with vcds?

Nope not that I'm aware of unfortunately. I think I'll have to take the chance driving it, if it loses so much that its not drivable then AA will be called and have to recover it to warrington. It's the only way I can get it there without paying loads for it to be trailered :(

What happened Dave?

I'll try and keep it short and simple...I been extremely unlucky with my car.

So what has happened!? My slave cylinder went so it was a clutch job to replace my knackered one for another however my clutch & flywheel was fine, after that all was well...I replaced a front shock and fixed a cv boot etc so all was looking well for the winter BUT my gearbox decided to blow up on me (death rattle!) I managed to source a replacement box from eBay for a good price got it all done and on the day of collection my 3rd cylinder decided to loose all compression and the results were piston rings exploded and causing damage to my lower block of the engine...and yea the rest is just a bit fussy right now however I am still going and I will get my Leon back up & running soon perhaps with a stronger engine than before...

That's an awful lot of bad luck you've had there mate.
I thought this type of engine failure on a Tfsi was almost unheard of.
Real bad luck an hope you get sorted without needing to remortgage the house.

After that, I shall say no more about my car...

As above that's extremely bad luck! When you get it back this time theres surely nothing else that can go wrong with it!

The early TFSI engines are quite simply, ****.
Heard people having nothing but issues with them.
Even today, I know of garages that are STILL fixing relatively new TFSI engines. It is putting me off the VAG cars big time.

It's not that bad Kaz!
She's had a hard life (110k!) and plus running a K04 didn't help either but I plan on having the car back stronger than before (positive!) I intend to keep my TFSI SPORT for quite some time :)

Now at a different dealer, though they have told me 'aftermarket stereo and subwoofer are too many modifications, we really shouldn't even be looking at the vehicle'.

What's happened to the world.
Should the dickheads not diagnos the fault an if it points to any of your mods that's when things like that should be said.
Your having similar issues to me and I was going to get rid of mine because Seat UK and the dealers are absolutely terrible.
I wasn't going to mod mine until the warranty was out but they do nothing when standard so I though bugger it and done it.
