Well yesterday I went to fit my new APR fuel pump from Awesome Gti costing £430 only to find it wasn't going to fit properly.
The top sensor was facing the wrong direction and was going to foul on the engine. Which would break the not available sensor very quickly.
What makes it worse is I've had to pay the postage of £10 to return the pump although it was not fit for purpose which is totally shocking.
I contacted Evan but I'm still awaiting a reply.
Pretty disappointed that a £430 APR rebuild pump was allowed to go for sale when it's not right.
Also it looks like its done a million miles.
Here's the pics to show the sensor position and the difference in pump condition. Bearing in mind the newest looking one is the one for my car that's done 17k
This one shows the correct position of the sensor
This one is of the APR and the sensor doesn't adjust it just tightens up
Notice how pitted the pump looks
Not the best £430 I've spent plus the £10 postage plus the £10 to send my pump for recon which was a 5000 mile pump from a golf R.
