Went out and got my tracking sorted, and adjusted the level on the new headlights, also got a wrap priced up for the roof, mirror covers and grill/badges in burgundy. Can't wait to get that done!

How is the remap on the 1.2 Jarre? My mate has the same engine in his Audi A1 and I have been trying to convince him to get one for a while, but he is skeptical. So...?

I can't give you the exact figures because his new rolling road isn't installed yet, however it is supposed to have gained around 25bhp and can't remember the torque number! When it's installed i'll go and get it tested!

I can tell you, without the figures, it drives like a different car! It picks up so much quicker than it did before and you can really feel it pull compared to standard. There is a big increase in torque on the motorway too, it's an absolute breeze to overtake now! I'd suggest to him he gets it done!! It's some of the best money i've spent!

Great news, just how I thought it would be. Even if its only 25hp it is all proportional to the starting value. That is nearly a 25% gain, compared to say a cupra from 240 to ~300 which is 25% too. So you are bound to notice the difference, I will get onto him asap ;)

yeah, 130bhp out of a 1.2 isn't bad. My car shifts now, my dad drove it the other day and said it's faster than 1.6 engines so thats good! And if my car is pretty good now the A1 will be even faster too so it would be definitely worth it!

EDIT: Also just like to make a point that my trip form home to Liverpool normally returns about 35mpg from driving 70-80. Tonight I achieved 41mpg from the same driving style! Not saying there's a 6mpg increase as I need to do a few and take averages, but I never achieved above 35mpg before. I only got 47.1mpg when I drove back at 60mph!

Took the car to the garage to sort out the brake imbalance....all sorted after the brakes were stripped down and rebuilt...perfect balance after and got through the MOT without a problem.

Also bought some 'bits' off eBay for my next mod...gonna be good...assuming it works!

But mate.. 1.2 tsi engines ARE faster than 1.6 NA ones even before the remap. :D

And that's awesome, I am trying to convince my friend to remap his SEAT Ibiza ST 1.2 as well but he heard that remapping will require 98 octane not 95. The cleanest we have over here is 95 octane, so that could be a problem.

haha fair enough!

I don't have to buy premium, I can just use standard fuel, although our standard fuel is 95 RON and premium is 99RON.

Paint cleaner, 2 coats of SRP and 3 coats of blue velvet pro. Polished then sealed wheels and started the task of getting the exhaust back up to scratch. Need wire wool and more autosol!
