With regards to DPFs, they will eventually clog up. It's a filter, and is classed as a consumable, but it should be lasting to at least around the 120,000 mile mark (at which point VW say start checking it every 10,000 miles). Obviously when the soot is burnt off, it still leaves ash behind, and you can actually check your oil ash content with VCDS.

I believe quite a few people have had success with a hose/pressure washer though.

dpf

Big companies would be --> S.hark Performance, Revo, APR, but i phisically couldnt be bothered to drive to them with the high prices also, so took a brave move and used Eliteremaps, and all i can say is they did a good job on my car. Everytime i boot it i get a grin on my face :)

hi just a quick question any problems since you had the dpf removed. IE smoking or dpf light on.

You always get some smoke in first place DPF is there to collect all this smoke so after removing DPF smoke will not disappear somewhere ...

dpf light on = NO remap will code this out.
Smoke = Yes during full throttle past 3k revs only

Hope this info helps.
S.hark remap offer a 210 remap with no smoke! But is triple the price, just so you know.

Hope this info helps

Thank,s for that thinking of going for stage 3 but with switchable s.hark map and yes you bang on it is very costly if you do the full monty.

I would not bother with hybrid turbo ... very hard to get mapped correctly

Kilner is running a Hybrid PD170 at the moment

Made 243bhp with Water+Meths injection

Hes having problems making the boost though, Siemens PPD ECU only wants to make a certain amount of boost so i think hes going to use a 4 bar map sensor to get around it

Hybrids are very unstable I would go for GTB if I would want to put different turbo in ... not sure how much original injectors can handle don't think You can push them above 240 mark ...
