That's what i like to hear :p

Love the look of the car mate! Its wicked, the carbon wrap really suits it aswell.

I see what you mean as well now about the paint/wrap mix of the SS spoiler, how much did it cost you for the painting and fitting? Not sure if I'm being brave or daft trying to skip painting and just having the primed coat wrapped to be honest lol.

Great thread by the way.. I'm actually up at half 4 to set off down to Lotus HQ but I've just read the whole thing now!.... Red bull on my cornflakes I think haha.

Haha thanks mate, how come you're off to the lotus hq? Or is it confidential?

The spoiler ordered, painted, wrapped and fitted was 300 altogether. You wouldn't need it to be painted because its white anyway, just need to wrap it or get the bit you want painted.

Haha well if I told you that I would have to kill you.... ;)

I work for a suspension company mate, I'm a mechanical engineer and spring designer :)
Got a meeting down there with my MD, our Business development manager and one of the guys from out Taper wire spring manufacturing in Germany. Should be a good day hopefully.. if not a tiring one! haha.

Hmm, thats the main reason I'm considering wrap. Seat have quoted me around £120 for fitting, so in total it'd be about £250 but that's for both spoilers wrapping and the full roof, which sounds great to me. Is your original spoiler still yellow? and when you get chance could you take a pic from the rear looking up at the SS spoiler? I just want to see how it sits over the brake light.

Ahh right, sounds like you got a busy job right there lol. Just don't fall asleep in the meeting lol

Yeah 250 does sound a bargain for the whole thing to be done, get it done asap before they change their mind! My spoiler was white when they first got it obv but then painted it yellow then put the wrap on. Yeah ill take a pic tomorrow of it for you mate, its just an extension that's glued onto the tailgate.

Haha it can be a bit hectic at times mate, its great for getting contacts for different bits of mod work though lol. I'm going to get some shut-eye so I don't collapse tomorrow. This site is too addictive!

Yeh sounds good to me, I'll have to wait until early June when I'm off before I have it done

I don't suppose you know where on here you can get seatcupra.net stickers from?

There you go mate, mind the dirt..thats the problem with having a spoiler like this, gathers up dirt quite fast! Taking my car in for its first service at the dealers and they always vac and clean the car :)..great service!

Don't worry about the dirt mate lol, mine needs another bath after its cruise to Lotus and back today haha. I've gotta book mine in in a few weeks, that trip today has nudged me closer to 20K :( lol

Looks great, if you didn't know if it was stuck on you'd think it came as one unit.. I wish it did tbh haha.

When I was 'window shopping' on Autotrader before I'd saved my money up I saw a yellow cupra with bi-xenons and the panaramic roof.. it looked the dogs bollocks, but unfortunately I wasn't ready to buy back then

Well anything I have done I'll post on here mate, I don't mind giving whichever companies details it may be to other people :)

It was nightmare this morning! haha. My alarms didn't go off for whatever reason and I didn't wake up 'til 30mins after I was supposed to be at my MD's house (06:30). Lets just say I drove like I stole it! and somehow got to Lotus a couple of minutes after the other 3 had arrived.

The cupra/boc should've come out with spoiler and being more lowered...would be a lot better!

To be honest, I didn't plan on having a yellow car, my mind was set on white lol...but I got impatient and went for yellow. I wish mine had xenons though :(

Didn't manage to fall asleep then? Lol...think I would be driving like it was stolen if my alarm didn't go off...I bet you pressed snooze really didn't you lol.

Had my beast serviced today, told them about the oil consumption and I got told that its normal but that was generalised within the VW range but told if I had to top it up again soon then I would take it back and then they would top it up and see from there. Also had my full beams sorted as everytime I put them on in the dark, they would point up really high instead of straight on...but best of all...they cleaned my car for me inside and out :)

Also came upon this little number as well...its been out for a while now but havent seen one in the flesh!

Its the 'Toro Edition'..didnt check the spec but a few changes, as you can see, the roof wrap and wheels and the decals on the side and had a 'Toro Edition' decal on the back of the boot.

Did the coloured Seat surround match the wheels, roof and decals? From the pic it looks much lighter and out of place even, to me anyway... reminds me of the blue Race X cheap taccy crap
I wonder what it'd look like as a 'bocaazul' haha

I'll reply to the other message when I'm home from work mate lol.

ive seen that too. i was a bit unsure at first but after turning round & going back for a 2nd look i rather like it

Just been reading through this thread and have to say you've done a great job with the car...looks really well. Where did you get the lowering springs and dud you fit them yourself?

Yeah tbh it does look alright lol...something different. Yeah would imagine it to be a sport rider..try and get rid of it in time for new models.

Thanks mate much appreciated! :) I got the springs from Awesome GTI and got them fitted by my mates dad within a couple of hours for a small fee...would recommend getting some!!
