Well, I recently traded in my 59 plate Dakota Red Bocanegra and, in its place, I picked up a new(ish) 61 plate Candy White Bocanegra. It had only 1400 miles on the clock when I collected it about 4 weeks ago.

The car is pretty well specced out:

  • Convenience Park
  • Winter Pack
  • Panoramic Sunroof
  • Bluetooth / hands-free
  • USB / MP3 connectivity
  • Bi-xenons
  • Electric heated seats etc

I also ordered the rear spoiler and side skirts; got them sprayed and fitted before I collected the car.

Some pictures of the car when I collected it ...

Shortly after I picked the car up, I then managed to get hold of the obligatory 'Bocanegra' logo for the front bumper ...

After only putting 800 miles on the car, I picked up a pretty bad stone-chip on the rear off-side alloy :( ...

A local company specialise in repairing in Alloys, so a visit up to the boys at NuFinish and the alloy was repaired as good as new. While the alloy was in for repair, I also left the engine cover in with them to be treated to 3D carbon dipped effect and I am really pleased with how the end product turned out ...

I have a Forge induction kit from my last Boc to install into the new car and I think that the carbon intake matches pretty well with the engine cover ...

I tried to fit the induction kit tonight, but am struggling to remove the OEM kit from where it is connected behind the engine block. I don't know what the issue is at the moment, but the OEM kit just doesn't want to come away :( Will have another look at it over the weekend when I have a little more time.

As the TSI engines run particular hot, I was a bit concerned about how heat resisit the carbon effect finish would be. I have been assured by the guys that did the work for me that heat wouldn't be an issue. Anyway, I put the engine cover back in place and I think it looks well smart ...

That is all I have done at the moment with the car. I am very interested in fitting the Miltek Cat-back and giving the rear diffuser the carbon treatment as well, but will need to start saving!

Thanks for having a look anyway. Will update as developments take place.

Happy days. Should help to dress the engine bay up a little. I am also looking for an Audi R8 oil cap just to finish that section off. Then, will see what finances are like and hopefully get the cat-back ordered up.

Still haven't got round to getting my induction kit on :(

Thank you guys. I will be trying to get induction kit fitted again some time this week. Am pleased with the engine cover and have plans underway to treat the rear diffuser to the same treatment. Have Audi R8 oil cap being delivered this week to complete that part of engine bay. Really want to get Miltek cat-back, but just depends on finances.

Really nice Dave! Were those photo's taken down at Oxford Island by any chance? I've yet to see one of these up close

Thanks Gaz. Photos were taken at Scrabo in Ards. If you are about Lurgan / Portadown direction, or if you are attending any local events / meets, give me a shout sure and will take you out a spin.

Love the look of that engine cover

Thanks, I think it helps to make a pretty boring piece of plastic look a bit better! Get it done ;)

Love it mate :) want some skirts for mine now lol! Can you remember the dimensions for your front number sticker?

If you look on ebay, and search for 'bocanegra sticker', you will find a company that'll do them for you.

looks tidy, wish I ordered the skirts and spoiler whan i got mine, really makes a difference.

Sure you can get the spoiler and skirts retro-fitted. I paid about £450 for the lot ... purchasing the items, having them painted and fitted. They definately help to finish the look of the car off. Try to negotiate a price with your Seat dealer ;)

New oil cap arrived today (thanks to Awesome GTI)

Think that nearly finishes this section of off. Not going to bother putting the 'Cupra' insert back into the cover.

Looks nice now mate

The oil cap looks spot on!!!
Is that from Awsome GTI??

Ta mate. Yes, just ordered it from Awesome ... Quick delivery. Think it helps to just break up the carbon a little. Fairly cheap wee modification.
