what did you use for the deep scratches on the wheels?
i need some too :)
Plastic Bonders chemical metal. But will have to wait and see how it goes, because it was only stated to survive 160 centigrades, while the powdercoat bakes at 200.. Fingers crossed.

Love those wintertire rims, I was also planing to paint mine to white (or something very stranges if not white ;))

Thanks, I think they turned out well.

did the service today, except from arb bushings who were a tad to small. Crap. Have to get new ones then. MOT test tomorrow. Hope all goes well.

Also cleaned out all of the boost pipe joints from turbo to inlet. Added quite a few layers of ptfe tape to make em tighter, but still goes into limp mode. Boost is also very delayed.. 3k + rpm, boosts for a second then limp. :-(

95% done prepping the wheels. Hopefully they'll be done next week. :)

Also need to get a wheel alignment done, but I fear the negative camber at the rear would be outside the criteria.. :(

swapped the bushings for a bigger size, will mount them today. Will also have a go at a four wheel alignment. :)

Also theres a drawback with having a sunroof! You forget to close it then wild snow appears!
This turned into 6 inches over night, and its still coming down.. :(
Wheres the summer at?

Front. Spissing=Toe in/out

Rear..

Oh, and as of may 1st we don't need stickers on our registration plates as a proof that we've paid the annual fee, so I got rid of it. But it clearly shows I better get a new one!!

Also finished prepping the wheels, and they'll be dropped off for powder coating next week. Looking forward to finally see how the colour turn out!
Also have to get the hub caps done though. Project for next week.

Tomorrow I'll try to get some tinting spray and maybe some other bits. Will have a go here and there, including the lights of my mates ZX6R ninja :)

Decided to tint the front wing indicators today. Might have to replace them as one of them were cracked, and had water inside..
Got them off and rubbed them down, then washed with aceton.

Before:

two coats

20120506163933.jpg

four coats

20120506164412.jpg

six coats

In between leaving the coats to dry, I had a go at debadging the rest of the rear.
Had a little trouble with the 4 and the "cupra flag" due to the size and the amount of glue!

Removed the glue rests with aceton, but it clearly needs a rubbing and a polish.

20120506165855.jpg

The rest of the car needs a polish too!!

Dried up and mounted, results:

20120506181251.jpg

(last two pictures are taken with indicators lit!)

The light output is a tad lower ofc, but If I try really hard I can still see the E-markings inside. Hopefully It won't get me in trouble!

Also cleaned up the bolts for the rims! Still have all 56 of them. I think! :p

Few bits to do;

20120507161521.jpg

Keeping them as they were was really no option as the one you see were one of the nicer ones..!

Caps had aluminium centers, so my first though was to sand them down and polish them up. Would have looked great with them bolts imo, but after seeing the damages and the dents I decided to do the them in the same colour as the wheels. (I've ordered a can to do this, as wheels are beeing powder coated..)

Anyways, I splitted them, matted down and washed with aceton. Centers have had one layer of alu primer allready. Will have to glue them back together when done though, Should be easy enough.. :)

Nice Stealth :D love the fact its 4 x 4 :1st: but everyones opinions vary i like the way you tinted the rear lights but i'd love to c them darker just my opinion loving the Front S in your grill and the headlights to i debated tinting my headlights but I'm to worried about losing the effect of my H.I.D's how do you find it considering your weather conditions look a hell of alot worse than a bit of rain lol ????

I haven't tinted the rear lights. Came on the car that way, I do believe the smoked lights was an option/ on some cars? But yeah, they're about to get darker..

Yeah I like the eye lids, but I don't think it affects ligth output too much. Been thinking of lamin-x or such, but we'll see.

Lamin-X effects quite much to light output I think. I have yellow one in motorbike and it's quite big difference with Lamin-x and without. Maybe with 35w or 55w Xenon it will work well (and summertime)

The condition of the paint was crap.. need to get some clay and maybe even heavier weapons

The wheels had a only a few minor chips, but I plan to refurb them again (!!) later this summer, and add several layers of lacquer!!

Oh and Ï have a evil plan regarding that 80s looking parcel shelf!! :funk:

The other wheels are getting painted as we speak..!
And i'm picking up the spray can for the hub caps tomorrow.
Recieved valve caps from dx but they were blue when they should have been silver
Guess i'm going for regular black plastic ones for now then..

Picked these up at the powder coater this morning, while still warm!
The colour is RAL7024, Graphite Grey, but it looks a tad darker IRL than in the photos. I'm happy with it, even though the result wasn't a 100%. Got them mounted just before it started to snow. Summer tyres ofc!

Still have to do the nuts, and the hub caps only got 4 coats so far. Hopefully this will be completed tomorrow, with added pics! :)

Ain't half bad, allthough it needs a polish!
The white ones werent too bad, but im going to redo them this summer, and add muliple layers og lacquer. ;)

No the current rims I'm not too happy with myself.. They look kinda wierd, but for the moment I'm stuck with these. The colour turned out ok, but it should have been a bit darker..
