I have ordered my new brake pads

RC8

Outrageous stopping power, these pads must only be used with other CL products as power is so high. These are for use in the most severe conditions such as GT racing, WRC Tarmac, World Touring Car, and NASCAR.

I think they'll do.

Genuinely no stickers, or any residue of them.

So update. Unfortunalty, my camera died after about 4 pictures.

Basically, all was ok, until, it came to fitting the downpipe. the 2871r is longer in a dimension somewhere meaning the relentless manifold and downpipe fouled each other. so a bit of 'tolerancing' was required. a small dink in the manifold and about 10mm of downpipe plange was cut away to allow fitment.

This has meant its making contact with the body somewhere which is annoying as I cant see it, so it's coming off again tomorrow for more 'tollerancing'.

Started up with the new clutch and it is genuinely silent. Ive not seen a SMF conversion like this until now.

Clutch feel is lovely, very OEM.

Turbo wise. Well. OH MY GOD. Spool is just the same as the K04, but, its holding 26psi at 75% throttle at 5000rpm Before I Bottled it. as my laptop didnt standby and had gone flat again.

Laptop charged up today, +10% fuelling, and -5* of timing to make it run a bit safer when on boost.

Did a quick log, it started to run lean at 6300 so aborted, however just as i aborted the highest MAF reading was 269.11g/s (336.25bhp) :) Its going to be a quick one :)

N75 is now unplugged, back to 10psi. this is going to be a long month until mapping :(

Dan the car sounds awesome, bet that's sweet as fook on full chat!! :D

Glad your happy with the clutch, I was keen to see what you thought of it and this is yet another review which makes me want this setup when I'm ready to replace mine. Nice one.

Oh and she must fly! That's some great g/s readings and peak bhp. Good work, this is one seriously wired LCR.

The clutch is a lovely bit of kit, shall see how it holds up with full potential. I cant recommend it enough at the moment.

Thanks for the kind words mate, I'm very eager to get it mapped!

Nice work Dan, looking forward to the graph of this one.
I removed my stock manifold yesterday but i'm struggling to get the xs manifold behind the engine and onto the studs. Any advise please, also did you grind two of the studs down to stop them bottoming on their runners.

I spun a few nuts on as I was sliding the manifold on. But I did also have the advantage of the head off. Mine didnt make any contact with studs as far as I can remember.

Just fitted the 630's knocked fuelling down by 10% from the original, and did some logs.

Still a bit rich(12:1) but EGT's are down in the low 800's :)
