Gates does not make a Kevlar belt (dont know how many times I need to post that). I know this because INA brought the T306RB belt to the market.
Whatever the case looking good!

Oh i never realised they weren't Kevlar.... even I.E sell them as that. Apparently there over 300% stronger so that'll do for me :D
I knew you were selling them way back ;)
And cheers, it's a slow project but it'll be great when it's done - i just need to stop altering the spec of everything and just build the thing !!!!

Darlo boy eh, i'm also from darlo originally (longfield school area) - moved to Newton Aycliffe about 10 years ago.
I've got quite a bit on at the moment with the new little un just arriving but i'll let you know when you can come round and kick the tyres :D........ one thing r u any good with the spanners ??? ;)

I think you guys at INA should invest in a website with more than just a front page and items listed for sale like all of the other manufacturers /tuners - people may know which products are yours and when you made them then rather then correcting people on forums.....

Back onto the topic of the great car this project thread is about!

Cheers Guys....

Well thanks to Scott-O i've managed to spend more money than i really have at the moment :)

Really appreciate the heads up from you Scott, you've definitely bagged the first shotgun ride :D

I've put a deposit on some Ex works Seat Sport BTCC wheels, i was bit unsure as there only 17" but i thought for the low price there an absolute steal !

There 5x100 17" x 9" ET25
Apparently there light as a feather and are made to accommodate large brakes so happy days.
There suppose to be a grand each + 250 per tyre so there a steal at just under £500 for the 4.

They come with good condition slicks fitted, i'll be keeping them for track days ;)

He's a piccy i've stole of the seller -

If they look too small once fitted i'll keep the for track days and get some 18's....i think they'll look great, very genuine look now.

Here's a picky that Matty on Vagcars posted a while back -

Thanks for the kind comments mate, and yeh your right they were three sets, i was gonna get the gold ones but he text me today and said the grey ones had better tyres on and were generally in better nick so i'm going with the grey ones now :D

They should be here next weekend so i'll get the pics up asap.

And yeh mate still over the moon with my little fella, it's amazing how much he's grow / changed just in the week i've been away.

The missus let me in the garage for a couple of hours today because of good behaviour, and she says i can have a play tomorrow too :D

So i managed to make the passenger side front box mount, i just copied the drivers side and tacked it all together.

Tacked it into place and then bust out the chop saw to make the A-Pillar, after plenty of chopping and tacking i had it in place.

So tomorrows job is to make a front cross part between the top of the a-pilars and hopefully start making a cross brace for the roof section.
I'm gonna need to remove the rear cage and clean the paint / sealer off the mounts then weld the cage finally into position.

It's gonna take a lot of thinking about where to spilt it and make the final welds so i can access all the welding points in situ.

I'll hopefully update tomorrow with some better piccys and more progress.
So Long.

I just can't stop laughing... This is brilliant!! Everything we all want to do but have got the nerve to take on!

Have you got any pics of the wings? I really want to fit a set of fibreglass wings but can't ever find a decent pic of any fitted.

Cheers Matey, and there a couple of pics of the wings scattered through the thread. Best off searching for the user murderedLCR and check out his Readers ride thread, he's got them fitted and painted. His car looks mean...... hopefully mine will also ;)
